Big Brother Nigeria
« on: March 05, 2006, 06:29 PM »

The intro show is only halfway through but i gotta say, the boys are hot!  The girls aren't so bad either.  There's obviously a trouble-maker and a looker.  They allL speak well which is cool, and i can't wait for the show to properly commence.  Watch this space for updates,  and of course, contribute!  Gotta get back to my TV.  Cheesy

CANT WAIT  Cheesy

With the technical and operational elements well into their installation phase, plus the housemates chosen though not yet revealed, and with just a week to D-day, Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) is just about ready for action!

The African audience last witnessed the Big Brother phenomenon two years ago and that seems to be a long for the next Big Brother Africa show. However, for now we shall have to settle for BBN that is slated to be launched on March 5.

When M-Net announced late last year that it planned to screen BBN, would-be contestants enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity and though the call for entries ran for only 30 days, M-Net has revealed that an impressive 12, 940 applied to join the house.

Built in just 3 months, the Big Brother Nigeria house is equipped to follow the adventures of the housemates as they spend 13 weeks in seclusion competing for public affection and a $100 000 grand prize.

With 27 cameras, 68 microphones and 21km of cabling, the house is a fully functional, habitable live studio. In addition, the house is completely capable of operating at night as well, with 4 infrared cameras geared to work in darkness.

There is also a diary room, which is the only room in the house where the housemates will ever be totally alone as they interact on a one-on-one basis with Big Brother.

Designed to reflect the dominant colour of the Nigerian flag, the entire Big Brother Nigeria house is shaded in tones of refreshing and dramatic green.

In total, the Big Brother Nigeria house has 200 square meters in floor space. The entire structure is surrounded by a 6 meter perimeter wall within which the housemates must spend the 91 day duration of the show - until they are evicted or they walk away as the ultimate winner.

South African viewers can catch 20 hours a day of Big Brother Nigeria on channel 37 on DStv. There's also a highlights package on AfricaMagic, channel 102 on DStv on Saturdays at 20:20

And i really want to know which station will show it here in uk                 desmond elliot's place Grin

I am happy that it has kicked off.

I have a little problem with the profiles of some of the contestants.  How come a lot of them are 21, 22 and 23 years old? With their looks? Somebody please convince me.

as far as i know, the contestants are boring (so far), lack beauty and unreal, mayb after a while they will start acting themselves rather than acting what they intend people should feel about them.

Mainwhile the person i felt was himself is the suppose ugly guy,  He was just fine (in attitude),  acted normal and natural,  I wander what he would look in the bath (my hussy did not like that part when i said it but when i mentioned seeing the boobs of the girls he said nothing ---MEN!!!!!)---- I hope they have cameras there ooh because enough boobs and ding-ding to look at.

let the fun unfold,

naughty naughty madam,  but i guess all's fair in love and nudity huh lol. it's not so boring so far, but their attitude during the fire drill task just goes to show how unprepared alot of nigerians are for fire emergencies. anybody notice the abundance of middle-belters/ibos in the house?

so far most of them are still forming like typical nigerians. but no one can form every second for 91days.
Can't wait for the back stabbing to start and the sell out to begin.

As for Ify, girl should be real but then she is adding spice to it. my gals are joan, mureen and chem.  They are naturals
