it is the worst big brother ever to be made,  technically, it is so haphazard, the inmates are boring, no adventures, (how did they come up with so much ugly girls, na so our naija girls dey?) and picking olisa as host? the guy was scared to speak the first day and he does not blend with the female presenter who i think is great!

The sound is bad big time, but Big brother isnt a beauty pagent that they would just select fine girls and guys

« #74 on: March 17, 2006, 03:51 PM »

i know and i agree but it was just like they have more uglies in there,  there is so much noise about ify but she aint fine; joan isnt,  if u want to be sure watch when they just got up or just out of the showers.

And after the first day i posted that they were fake and got criticisms. but can u tell me why there wasnt a line of pidgin on the first day and now, it comes in off guard? i tell u why, because they can't hold it any longer

@cabali, what do you mean by olisa doesn't blend with the female presenter? how does the female presenter speak? i read her profile and it was like  she has lived all over the world, us, uk, australia, jusst name the country, how is her accent plz?
cabali (m)
Re: Big Brother Nigeria
« #76 on: March 17, 2006, 04:07 PM »

olisa makes it so obvious that he is reading his lines off a teleprompter; he displays a stage shy nature; one would expect that he keeps up to the pace of the female presenter,  she presents way ahead of him; plus she speaks good, very good pronounciations (british)

olisa should just stick to radio presentation

yah, i think think the female presenter is far better,  i hope as the show goes on he becomes better the good thing is that he speaks well.

i hope so for him too> he is not a proffessional in tv presentation i don't know why he was picked!

mayb Frank from who wants to be a millionaire should send out lessons!

« #81 on: March 17, 2006, 11:48 PM »

Cabali! I agree with you! I don't think Olisa should be the host either Angry. He probably knows one of the organisers or something because u know in Naija, its who you know that counts!! If they had a proper audition, he would not be presenting! They should have used frank or Chidi Mokeme instead. Tongue i think the show is crap as well! Did anyone see the size of the pool? My Bath at home is bigger than that! Its too small for a pool in a house with 12 people! cmon! they should have just put in a jacuzzi instead! So much for our style! i think d contestants are as dry as the sahara and kalahari deserts put together. Joseph is my friend and I hope he gets out of there as soon as possible! he is much too posh for this show. Smiley

it is a pity that with such a poor show and performance, the orginisers will definitely still cough out $100K! the show is as anoying as it is inappropriate for excitement-viewing

@babycakes- its actually a jaccuzzi love,no pool is that small. jus that the housemates have a hard time containing their excitement at having a body of water independent of their baths that they WISH it were a pool. And really, why the hostility guys?nigeria is not to blame4the sometimes less-than-perfect quality of the show,as mnet imported the technicians. Maybe it's a ploy to ruin our image. .

as looks go, there's always ebuka-face, gideon-bod, and the girls span a variety certain to suit SOMEONE's tastes. There IS drama unfolding, and people who actually WATCH the show know that it isnt boring. all y'all bringing the show down'r just typical negative nigerians who can't see a positive side to ANYTHING even remotely nigerian. and thus i rest my case,as clearly nothing's good enough for u.

It's not that we don't see anything good in show because it's Nigerian.  The problem is that:
a) Unlike Big Brother Africa, there's no soft porn in this show.  no bathroom scenes!
b) We need DSTV subscriptions to watch it and many of us don't have it after Christmas.

I beg to differ.  That 25 year old flirt in the last Big Brother Africa was fun to watch in the bath.   Cheesy

what is really wrong with the show? from my point of view, it's like the housemates don't really have interesting personalities. secondly, they seem to be living in a bubble or should i say shell. they are more interested in food than anyting else. they don't really want to get involved in sexual relationships with each other because of our culture. u know, it is not acceptable to do such things in public not to talk of on tv that the whole africa is watching. I bet u, if joan and chinedu where from america, they would be really involved sexually ever since. did i just say america? that is too far. common sierre leon, they would have gotten down. anyway, what ever. but the show needs to pick up the pace. it needs to get the buzzzz. Wink
