Nothing wrong with Acers. Infact Acer is by now the second largest Computer Supplier in the world. They have very good product and the price is really good. YOu can get a good Aspire from about N70,000 up, depending on make and composition you want to go for. However, I have purchased Acer goods and had no complaint whatsoever.

I was thinking of getting ACER ASPIRE 4710! - Its got inbuilt camera aswell, do you have it? and whats the price?

I've seen acer laptops of two different models, quite nice screen with good resolution.

But, I always think cheap things doest get prove quality and durability.   I've checked some acer laptops at gafunk.com - I think I will go for acer!

I believe acers are great and like I said worldwide, Acer is Number 2 when it comes to computers. I am sure the company does a great job that is why it is up there. Acer products, I use as well as tons of other companies out there. I don't think brand name is necessarily what one should look for when it comes to buying computers. Sure Specs should be number one and then price but one can get carried away with brand name and forget that even brands can create crappy machines from time to time.

I have Acer Accessories, but my machine is one I built for myself. I decided to put together a gaming machine using parts from basically all over the scope. It works great, I can do my coding, gaming and all on the same machine and have no qualms with it. I currently do not own a laptop. My last one which was a Compaq died on me and instead of replacing the motherboard, I instead want to go ahead and get me a new one but that machine served me well. and It lasted 4 straight years with little of no problems even with the rough way I treated it.

Anyway, if you need a laptop, let me know,. I can definitely help you find a good price on good specs. I am in the market for one myself but I am going for a macbook as I figure I need something for my edutainment and more now.

Yeah, I need a brand new laptop! - Atlease I'll have full peace of mind since I know I got it new! no feelings like the owner needs to change due to some problems it gives him which he might hide from me.

Branding sometimes matters, because big brands are always qualitative even if they don't precisely satisfy your needs. E.g Buying Nokia phone or buying NEC phone!
