let he who has no sin throw the first stone. I am bornagain, I still sin against God everyday. the difference is when I realize I am wrong , by God's help , I ask for forgiveness and receive new strenghth to do right. brethren its a struggle. we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against pricipalities and powers. I appreciate this post because the individual is honest.brethren I would recommend that u cry to God for help, seek counselling from a trusted individual, find accountability partners, be careful what u feed ur mind with, hang out with people who would encourage u who have vowed not to defile their flesh. I shall pray for you. God bless you richly.

also remember that great men of God fell into sin. David fell into adultery with uriah's wife, peter denied Jesus three times, the remarkable thing about the great men of God, is that after they realized they had sinned, they cried to God for forgiveness. However , they still had to face the consequences. Samson, after treating his annoiting as cheap fell prey in the hands of the philistines, David 's son rebelled against him, peter was overwhelmed by guilt. brethren "shall we continue to sin that grace may abound", if we sin intentionally , there is no longer remission of sin. dear brethern I believe that you may be in the situation like apostle paul " the thing I want to do , I find myself not doing it, the thing I don't want to do , I find my self doing it" . but thank God for the grace of God. Please say Grace, o sweet grace, it is more powerful than any sin. I assure you that with God's help u can overcome. Holyspiirit plz guide tis fellow, help him overcome the lust of the flesh, Jesus was tempted in evry way , yet without sin, there is no temptation that God would bring accross our path which we do not have the power to overcome. dear Jesus help this fellow. in Jesus name. lest I forget plz add fasting , fasting puts the flesh under, if you fast I believe something is going to happen in the supernatural. hmm halaluyah. , fast , and make a candid decision not to defile your eyes. Job said " I have made a convenant with my eyes that I would not lust after a woman" , with God 's help u shall do it. peace be unto you let me know how evry thing goes

do not let anyone judge ya . to me the fact that u own up to sin shows a sign of broken ness. its the holyspirit that convinces us of sin. I believe u have a tender consience . but be careful lest sin destroy it.for some people after being born again , they have drastic change, no more weed, cocaine, sex etc. for others its a gradual process. the believers in the corithian church were rich in the spiritual gifts yet paul was grieved when he heard that there was fornication in their midst. yes it is possible to speak in tongues , be spirit filled and still be addicted to sin. for the call of God is without repentance. but by brother , keep praying , keep watching, the devil presents this temptations in the same old ways. u may have to put ur girlfriend apart 4 some time till u sort this stuff out. peace.

Speak sista Roses, speak. Christianity needs more pragmatic xtians like you. We all sin. Period. Condemning the guy because he feels the need to make some amends in his life is the most unchristian thing to do. The question we all need to ask ourselves is what would Jesus say in a situation like this.

And what will happen to the girl(s) he commited this sin with? Lord, and what shall this man do?John 21:21The guy has been brave enough to admit he has a problem and has sought help. The best he could do is seek God's forgiveness and the grace to boldly resist further temptations from those girls by letting them know he's outa the game. If those girls want to go on giving themselves to other felas, cool for them. And if they don't think they have a problem and need as much help, it's no longer JamesZ's catastrophe. I'm glad roses pointed out that Christians face temptations like everyone else - the same thing I had tried to call attention to. I don't think it's been fair to write off the gentleman as an unbel for admitting to his problem.

brother ,I just read this passages tis morning . I felt I should share it with you . james 4 : 7 so then, submit to God . resist the devil , and he will run away from u , come near to God, and he will come near to you. wash your hands, ou sinners!purify your hearts, yu hypocrites! be sorrowful , cry , and weep; change your laughter into crying, your joy into glooom! humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift u up. dear brother, once again I admire ur courage . I believe its high time we belivers confess our sins to one another. I think its high time instead of judging one another , we would lovingly support one another. since every one may have different areas of weakness. however, this is no license 4 sin. remember whom u represent, u want to shine as light . God bless . cheers

Who are we to tell this guy whether he is born again or not? It's not our place to judge and he came here seeking help! Maybe if more people who claim to be Christians would act in a supportive manner he wouldn't be having such a struggle. It's hard to admit that you struggle with addictions and sin, especially in such a hostile environment. Not a single man on this earth, no matter how holy he thinks he is, is entirely free of sin and he never will be. The one who was free of sin died for all the rest of us who fall entirely too short to deserve any sort of salvation. This life is a struggle, repent, ask for help from those who care, and pray over it. It's a day by day situation just like any other addiction. Do your best to remove the things that are leading to more temptation. For the rest of you who have chosen to judge him, maybe you should do some repenting of your own for laying judgment at his doorstep when he came seeking the loving support of his Christian brethren.

All, let's not confuse the writer please. He wants the way out of his problem, so let's guide him better.
@ Jamesz.
The bible says Jesus came to save us from sin. Matthew 1 vs 21. 1 John 3 vs 9 says if you are born of God you don't commit sin again. I'ld ask you to pray for salvation again and entire sanctification, John 17 vs 17. Flee from all appearances of evil, examine your heart daily through total guidance by the HOLY Spirit and be submissive to the Spirit's leading always.
The truth is that you are not born again. God'll help you through please, am praying along with you, because heaven is real and I want u to make it

Please, be more gracious to the weak
In helping a soul out of problems like this, we should be careful in being so judgemental. If he said he was born again, perhaps the first thing to ask him is, how is he sure - how did he get born again? It is true that some who are born again fall into grievious sins; but being so critical as to haul huge rocks (not even casting stones) on this gentleman does not speak so well of the grace we foster as Christians. I would agree that he is not born again if he states that he loves sex or any other sin so much that he is NOT willing to give it up for anything while claiming to be born again at the same time. But is that what he has done here? He said he is born again, and confesses that he has a problem - no sinner recognises or even admits his problem this way: because sinners love sin and will not seek God at all. But if he claims to be a BA, what then shall we do?
"Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." girl. 6:1.
That should speak volumes to many of us who are quick to draw on the sword of Damocles over people who have a problem that we don't have. So, let me ask: do Christians ever commit sins at all? Not that I advocate a sinful life in our Christianity; but if Scripture shows that it is possible for believers to sin through weak commitments, we are not to quickly shun them off, but rather give a listening ear all the more and pray for them.
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16.
How much praying have we done for JamesZ to be healed of his problem before we rise to condemn him?

@babymine He is trying to break from it so “who has made you a judge?” Matt 7: 1 . . . stop decieving yourself.u can't be born again and love sex(if it is outside marriage).that is contradictory. u shoulda said u want to be born again,we'll understand and help you out. . . .
@toshmann No. you can’t say that. That a man is born again does not mean he cannot fall back into sin else, what is the scripture saying when it said: 1Co 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.” We can only pray for grace to stand. Do you say after you have given your life to Jesus you have never sinned? And by the way, who are you to help a sinner out even if he is one? @jamesz Am I sure you really desire freedom? I asked this because of the grin you placed beside your question. But if case you desire freedom, you must know that man is not your judge. Rom 8:34 “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, …” This means that no matter what anybody says, it is God that justifies and condemns a person. Don’t mind any post here that condemns you. Your sexuality or sexual desire is not a sin. We all have it. God put it in the inside of you but falling into its desire and not making yourself a master of that desire is the sin. Now, the question is not about love for sex but an addiction for it that means you don’t love it anymore but you find yourself going back into it. Is that right? If so, tell God you can’t do it with your power but that he should help you. Also know that you cannot deliver yourself. It is God who can do that but you realize you have a part to play by purging yourself and keeping your mind free of garbage. Don’t watch anything erotic because your mind has a way of coming back to play them when you are idle and you may do what you don’t want to do. I wish you the best.

As Shannon said, who are we to say whether he is born again or not? '' People jumped all over Kirk Franklin (for admitting a porn addiction). Kirk is human! I ain’t even mad at the cat, surprised, or none of that. People are having meetings about Kirk Franklin; man, relax! Kirk is a human being. The Brother came out and said he had some shortcomings. Now, if Christ came down here and said He was hooked on porn…we’d have a problem then.”
I don't know if anyone else read or heard of this story, but Kirk Franklin, as Christian as he is was addicted to porn for a long time. We're talking about five years, and he confessed and he been clean for more than five years now. His walk with God was definitely affected, but that didn't make him less of a Christian, only he wasn't walking the talk. That's it. And yes, sin is sin, but aren't we making JamesZ look like he's some Hitler or something? Born again or not, no one ought to be addicted to sex.
I agree, however, look at the world today, everything we do glorifies sex. From the sitcoms we listen to, the music, the commercials that advertise from cars to margarine, everything is screaming sex, sex, sex. It ain't easy, but it's possible. The truth is that you are not born again. God'll help you through please, am praying along with you, because heaven is real and I want u to make it
And who are you to know that he ain't born again? Pulling away from addictions is a process in our daily walk with God. You don't get born again, and that instant, everything within you is perfect. There are things you have to let go off. Some are more instantenous than others and this guy may have noticed that letting go of that (this is all relative to the nature and the length of time he's been addicted) is a little hard and decided to ask for help. Praise God that he does indeed want a turn around.

@Typop dude, listen, bible is clear on this, the sexual sin is very evil before God.the only grounds on which God can tolerate divorce.God knows the urge is powerful that he does not ask us to fight fornication but to FLEE fornication.if u are born again,u'll have the spirit of God in u and that spirit is ABSOLUTELY incompatible with sex(outside marriage). nothing unholy is acceptable to God. all these stories of christainity is a race, excuses, excuses, excuses.read the bible,on the final day, there will be no excuse,i tell u. christ was so much against it that he said even thinking about it is equals to doing it. hear o.that na jesus wey talk am o. as the bible will say,he who has ears, let him hear. jamesz, better tighten up.it is not easy,if it were, everybody will be B.A,but that excuse is not enough for salvation.u have tobear that cross

That's true. I agree with you toshmann. As much as we have no right to condemn, we shouldn't be tolerant of the action. My problem is not his admission, my problem is just how many stones have been thrown at him. Even if we're throwing stones with the intent of making him change his ways, is it going to make him really do that, or expose the 'sinless' people we are not? We don't win people over by killing them first.

Hello.
Get this! GOD CREATED SEX, not the devil. The devil ABUSES sex (porn, romance novels, films, etc). Sex in itself is very good when used correctly.
I am going to be very practical here in helping u solve this problem.
The bible asks that you work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Even when u are born again, it will still take some work on your part to deal with the problem that u talked about.
First, u have to be careful what u watch, read and absorb into your mind. That's the first step. It will take a while for the images and things that you may have been exposed to over time that got u into this addiction to clear.
The best step you will take is to get married. Sex in marriage is holy! It doesn't matter what positions u adopt when having sex, in so far as you and your partner are agreeable to it. But if done in marriage, it is holy. Then you can have all the sex u want and God will see it as holy.
Do not let anyone deceive you. Once you are born again, you are born again. But you have to go the extra mile to deal with some things in your life. Even if you stumble, it does not mean u are not born again. Just pick yourself right up, ask God for forgiveness, ask Him to help you, and continue.
SO GO FOR IT!

Read 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17. Matthew 1 vs 21. 1 John 3 vs 9 and Hebrews 12 vs 14 please. May God give us all a better understanding of the srciptures. Jesus came to save us from sin, so if we continue in sin, then what did he die for
Once born again is not forever born again please. There's the tendency to go back to the former sinful ways of life if we are careless and prayerless. It's by grace not by works or moral strictness. That is why total dependence on the Spirit of God and separation from our former sinful ways of life is very very important. We are to also close our eyes away from the fashions and dictates of this world, because they are not of the lord but of the devil and tend to corrupt the mind through temptations if we yield. May God help us all

Being born again doesn't mean you wont be susceptible to sin.It doesn't stop u from being human. What it does among other things is that it gives you the "weapons"of fighting temptation. In terms of d scripture, holyspirit and prayer. You have already taken the major step which is identifying your problem, the second would be to pray for the grace to overcome the temptation and sin. Then u will help yourself by watching what you feed your mind as a lot of people have advised.

I don't disagree with you, but you're downplaying a lot of other compounding factors, like @ Ashbaby and all
Read 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17. Matthew 1 vs 21. 1 John 3 vs 9 and Hebrews 12 vs 14 please. May God give us all a better understanding of the srciptures. Jesus came to save us from sin, so if we continue in sin, then what did he die for

I don't disagree with you, however, you're seriously downplaying a lot of other compounding factors. Yes, there's the tendency of going back to former sin and all that stuff, but what if he's not going back, what if he's been like that? How does he break away? Another thing, if every sin made us become unsaved or non-saved, then I must say that a lot of us then are at a different level in terms of thinking we are saved when we ain't of vice versa. U just said that it's by grace and not works, grace is not unsaving us when we're hooked to things here and there, grace is helping us come out of it and move on. But the question is how? That has been answered previously by lots of wise people. That's grace. Works is 'stop-now-or-else-you-will-go-to-hell' attitude.

I aint downplaying nothing, its an addiction, its wrong,he would like to quit. With prayer for the grace and a conscentious effort on his part,he would get over the addiction. What am against is people playing God and also the fact that when you are born again the assumption is you are supposed to be instantly sinless.Being born again rather makes you sin less, and less, and less.It is gradual. So as much as i know sex addiction or any form of addiction is bad, judging or telling him how heinous it is,is a stale gist.He knows and the power of sin and temptation is what keeps him hooked. This power affects even the strongest of born agains. The stuff u explained the compounding factors aint so clear. But i suppose they are issues he needs to deal with in getting over the addiction.D point is lets all give him our take on the issue and he will on the what he should do.
