The Arsenal hitman put the jersey up for auction at the ACLT charity ball in aid of leukaemia research. Organisers expected the strip to fetch a few grand. That is a lie. If it was the same charity ball which took place on Saturday, the 22nd on September, then that's a huge lie. These Sun people will say anything to make people buy their gossip. My housemate was at the ball and the shirt sold for £6,000. I know the buyer - It's a friends brother who bought it in order to get a date for her. (They were offering a date with the man, too.) |

Update : We called The Sun last night through the number provided (They said "If you know who bought this shirt, please call this number) and the editor obviously knew what he was doing. I said to him that their information was wrong and wouldn't he like to know how much the shirt really went for, by someone who was at the event? (With picture proof, too!). He said no. |
