olowotee your billy is cute. we once had a dog called murphy she lived with us as a member of our family before she died at age 12 we all cried when she died she was strong and always fought off dogs or people who were mean to us she stayed at the foot of my baby brothers bed when he was born till he grew big and strong enough to hit her hard with his toys or any object he can grab when he is playing and she got the message that baby is no longer so helpless.she was wise could understand orders and loved every one in the house I still miss here even though she died11 years ago murphy was and still is the best dog ever to walk the face of this earth.

thanks Hanny, your late dog "murphy" reminds me of "bright", one of our dogs, she is dead now, but i missed that dog, I still miss her here even, she was a local champion, a terror and she took no nonsense from strangers and visitors too. She was always on guard, despite she was a female dog. Cool.

Tee female dogs are wiser and they tend to bond more easily with their owners.

@iice
 female dogs are cool if they are sure you love them.I remember onece when my rector had a dog she was an alsy and poeple thought she was rude so they always caged her and treated her like a tyrant when i started living there she was kind of mean to me but then i told them it was because of the way they treated her i started taking her meals to her on time i pet her when she  was in the mood to play and i bathe her from time to time it was not long we bacame friends and when she had her puppies i was the only one in the family she allowed to touch them. the thing with dogs is read their mood and don't push too hard when trying to teach them if not they will hate you.

True talk.

Most pets especially dogs are sensible and wise, they read your mood and reactions too! they love those who love them and hate those that hate them. It's reciprocal Undecided

@hannydarl. . .
Had a similar experience but the damage was donepoor dog was maltreated but we didn't have it killed or anything, she was just chained - she only accepted the touch of one person. (That was a long time ago) She was the only dog that came to us fully grown, so she had been treated poorly all her life!  Our dogs have been known to be erhhh not soo friendly with visitors Tongue But I know what you meanjust that i don't think female dogs are always wiser, Undecided

@iice
maybe not all female dogs are very wise any way its nice to see that people also have stong feelings for their pets.

@beeyodun
  your cat certainly got wild some cats behave that way ma grandma and mother inlaw both have cats that left their homes and became wild they just hang around for food once in a while but they never get close to any one and if approached they become violent.

I love dogs. When I was small in primary school i got chases by two dogs that wanted to tear me apart. it was only when i fell down that the damn dogs heeded to the call of their owner. I got away with one a minor scrap on my skin. When i was in secondary school I got bitten by our own dog. SURPRISE HUH! But the poor thing was punished for it and I swear poor showed so much remorse that I pitied him so much and reconciled with him. We don't have any now.

still on? our female dog is one big fool o Angry she's always welcoming male dogs into our house. . . i hate that!! But aside that, she's very interesting, the only she can't do is to speak, but she has a way of expressing her feelings. . .  .she also understands simple signs and words like, "get away from there" "come" "sleep" "get inside" and a lot more Wink

i love our pets Kiss

And another thing, with the bad smell thingy, i hardly come across one, i think it all depends on how u take care of them. . . like iice said, our pet's breath smell like babies, yeah for real.

~Dogs ave always been considered part of my family~ to think my dad cudnt tolerate it @ first,thn he actually came home w/ a very adoarable mix~breed,we named him "Sisquo",he was the second pet we had,we also had "Fido"~ he was more therapeutic especially for my sis,who was scared of creepy crawlies,dogs,cats,lol Cheesy

~We all took our pet seriously as in getting his shots,monthly visit to the vet~family N friends ask after them even Grin they were recognised as part of the family too~ they were Sooo spoilt rotten!!! i use to collect left over food from resturants on a daily basic,they use to cuddle up on the couch too,my dad wasnt too happy about that Grin Sisquo use to sleep in my room on my bed Tongue

~Sadly they're both passed now Cry ~ ave got wonderful memories of them thu!!

~This is Zsa zsa, my sis's yorkie~ i plan on aving a pet of my son's choice,althu i'd prefer a dog Grin

Zsa Zsa is just the cutest doggie I have ever seen. I want to dognap her and take her with me, lol

I love pets. I have been around dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, you name it. I come from a pet loving family. Our pets are part of the family. There is no other way I see it. Also, if you take good care of them (your pets), they should not smell. I know people with alot of pets and you won't even know they are in the home. The home does not smell at all. Anyway, I love my pets and spoil them rotten! Cheesy

awww . . . am crazy bout dogs.
since I work full time, I only have one. Meet CoCo everyone. She is Mini Schnauzer, she is soo sweet and very playful . . can hardly keep up with her.

she is a good dog. . . wheneva she want to go do her business or go outside for a walk, she runs and go get her leash, drop at my feet then run to the front door and starts scratching it.

I've always loved dogs, we've got two of 'em right now; Skipper and Amigo. They are the clowns of the household, well actually Amigo is the clown(always playing but barks meanly too). Skipper is a quiet observer till the vet comes then his personal vendetta resumes with the fellow

I've been thinking of getting a saltwater aquarium with some little sharks, gosh that will certainly spice up the living room,  Cool

I like some animals but I only wunna have a parrot and fishes as pets. My younger bros has a lovely fish tank and I love watching those fishes esp. when they feed. They're cute little things  Cheesy. What I can't seem to comprehend is y people have animals like boa constrictors as pet. I can't visit a house with such a pet  Cheesy.

I don't understand when pet became a member of a family, na wa ooooooooooo.

Pet are meant to be treated like animals not like a child.

They are not meant to wear clothes, or dressing them up like dolls, if your really want a doll that bad, why not buy one.
