Hello, SITP aptitude test result of August is out. They invited me for Shell Recruitment Day, which is suposed to be the the technical interview for final selection, on wednesday, 3rd oct.
Does anybody know how the technical interview will look like?

There is a shell apt. test on the 2rd of OCT at Federal Palace Hotel, Do you know if gate crashers are allowed?

I would like to know the mode of contact used for your invitation. You see, alot of people have been anxiously waiting for this news and now it's here I think it's fair to be more explanatory. In any case, I won't be surprised if they've really starded inviting cos I had a hunch the interview is set for next week.

heard from other sources too that some are being called for the SITP interview stage.
Can anyone who's been called confirm if they have started calling those who wrote their first stage in Lagos? and;
What was the mode of contact (phone, email, ??).
Would appreciate your responses, just as i also solicit for tips on the next stage for those who have made it through.

Hi, the shell recruitment day is a day for successful candidates that wrote the SITP 1 Test. it comprises of three exercises:
- a case study;- this is imaginary and done individually.
- a group discussion;- this is done in teams of 4-6, watch the apprentice[Donald Trump TV show]?
- a technical interview;- here you are asked to talk about a project you did/participated in for the past 3yrs. they are after the projects backgroud, specific objectives, the key things you did, challenges you faced, the people you worked with, and your results.

???somebody help me out. I am in a fix. i have been invited for the shell interview on the 23rd of this month. But my company is sending me on a microsoft training in South Africa between the 20th and 25th. I have replied my shell invitation requesting for a possible reschedule, but no reply yet. I am confused cos I am tired of my present banking job and this is the best opportunity for me to fly out. I can not neglect this training because it is an official assignment.

Well Oyedeji it all depends on your kinda faith,If it was me I will surely have faith in a job i have not gotten yet,U know they have not assured u yet.Try to call some1 there directly mayb some of the recruitment officers.Some1 ere can help u with that or if i get 1 i ll just send it to your email if u drop it ere.
As for me they called me to confirm my email though i have not been invited 4 d interview,I feel it is done according to your course of study.
Has any engineer been called?

Well i talked to some working there and they said they have not even invited more than half of the candidates.
So good luck to all of the hopeful people.
It is going to run till end of this month or so,U may not have more than 1 week between invitation and the interview.good luck

hello all, i did my interview a week ago. its just like was described above. u just need to describe any project u've worked on whether at work or in school. your final yr project will suffice. its 6 candidates per day so it will be running for a long time. it will run for 2 months till the end of november; so for those who have not been invited, there's no cause for alarm. it will run in lagos till the end of october then will move to warri so for those who wrote their test in warri or PH your interview will probably be slated for next month though one of the guys i did mine with said he wrote his test in PH.
i hope u all get invited, from what i hear, it has a very high success rate and unlike other oil company recruitments, its not like an elimination bout. almost all who did it last year passed except one really messed up. the recruitment manager was quite friendly giving us some very useful hints. he actually told us that the more people pass, the better 4 him.

At least you've reassured hopes for those that wrote in portharcourt and warri.
But i also heard that the interview will end by first week of november, I just hope that all qualified be called before then.

hi,
well the truth is shell has called those that wrote in ph for their SRD i wrote in port harcourt on the 1st of August and was invited, i also know a friend that wrote in port harcourt and has done his interview precisely on the 4th of october, 2007.
so i guess i will wish all of you luck and do not drop your hopes, word is i hear they might still be calling more people for the SRD.

I can assure you from information i got from 1 of the recruitment officers that they have not even invited more than half of those they want to invite,
As for me my hope is plenty cos i have not been invited too.PH candidates too will still be interviewed again

As you all known only very big companies can afford assessment centres (Shell Recruitment Day).

Personally I wrote in PH and I've not yet been called. If you ask me I feel everyone that is meant to do the interview has already been invited. I have a friend who wrote in warri and was call 2wks ago for the interview. If PH guys wer involved, they shud been hav called soon. The guys called from PH must hav been few. Well we cant put our hopes down, lets just be optimistic, even though news reaching me was that our Lagos brothers had seen the questions ahead of time. So its no wonder they seem to be the only one's called for now, However, we shall overcome.

u all shud tk a chil pill. i did mine on d 4th n we(6 candidates) were told SRD will run til nxt mnth end. i'm sure invitation stil on cos a pal jst got his last wk slated on d 26th of dis mnth. so 4 those of u 4 nxt will likely get dis wk. n location aint a criteria, doznt mata where d examz were written, it's random. Success all

I've done mine. One of the recruiters said they are going to invite about 250 persons, and the interview will run till end of Nov. If you are not invited yet, still be hopeful cause they invite average of 40 persons per week, till nov. ending.
They invite from all the centres. The day i did mine, there were 4 of us. Two from PH centre, One from Warri and the other from Lagos.

oh yeah, i think they will get in touch with everybody who passed the test, the onkly hiccup would be if you have not passed the test in the first place, if you have'nt even gotten a mail from that to that note , but yeah i think everyone should just relax jare,
Stevre if you want to call them why dont you use the contact addy you were given when you got your mail from them, that should speed things up, 250 people wow thats alot ohhhh!!! any idea of how many people wrote the test in the first place, ?
To the guy who hinted that there was expo in lag i really think you should quit having that kind of attitude jare, stop thinking about who saw what and has an advantage over you and focus on making sure you are at your best on the interview day, if indeed people saw the questions how in God's name does that affect you, shell is already transparent enough, they sent a document with a preview of what the interview would look like soooo expo or not if you your good you will stand out,
To the people who have alrady done the whole thing please infooooooo, wouldnt mind to know alittle bit of what went down there, atleast a hint!!!!!
