I tried it on Vmobile and i clocked a download speed of 1.4kbps - absolute rubbish. Hope the new improved Celtel GPRS works fine. It took me 5 days of hardwork to finally sign in to yahoo messenger - because that's basically the only program that runs pretty fast on the lowest bandwidth.

The 112kbps or so is the speed of the connection to the phone's modem and nothing else.
Damn!

I tried this with my MTN phone but when trying to connect, says ISP is down or check the settings. can't locate the wap settings on my k600i phone.Internet settings just says MTN WAP and even when i click advanced, no info on the url.

And ISP not down because when i try to browse on the phone, its 1 touch!

Free of charge,  yeah right Angry,  it worked 4 my nokia ngage qd. using MTN i clocked 115.2kbps. Interesting and cute though. I was very happy with myself then but felt like commiting suicide after checking my balance. I DON'T BELEIVE MTN CAN EVER MAKE ANY OF ITS SERVICES FREE IN THIS COUNTRY EVER AGAIN, !!!. I got an sms from vmobile permitting me 2 use my gprs and,  Vmobile is a fluke but i hope they will improve under the new name Celtel.

yh! thats ryt, The MTN GPRS shiznit'z not free. It was jex a token,  Y'all thought it was free,  damn! In Nigeria, for where? Although, it works, no doubt. But MTN charges heavily for it. They charge according to downloaded kilobytes displayed on every page. It'll be quite cheap when ur using ur phone, but on a 17" computer monitor; u shuld know how large the content of the page will be and that incures heavy billing. I think the best is still NITEL, although - there are slow, but theystopped charging for a while, I started using Nitel since Last year en it has never dissapointed me. The speed's okay, I mean; u can download a song in 15mins, thats okay for an average Computer user. 460kbps or there about. If not mtn, fall back on multi links, there's is bloody fast & bloody expensive, haha,  Grin
