Using Vb 6 To Program Outlook

Hello Guys!
Please I need to program outlook to automatically track time, I need to customize it to be used as a TIMECARD using VB 6. I understand I need to use COM ADD IN, since it has to be updating the data automatically. Can anyone help me out to get started? I would appreciate any help very much.Its a school assignment.
