Cut Off For Post Ume (oau)

THEY SAY THE CUT OFF IS 200.JUST LIKE JAMB and i got 175.is der hope?

hello nairalander is there any hope for those that have 160 in jamb n still bet the cut-off mark of unilorin cos i had that those not up to 200 are for science course pls help

Unconfirmed report says that the general cut-off mark is 260, which means that departmental cut-off marks for highly competitive courses like Medicine, Law, Engineering, etc will definitely be higher.  I 'heard' that the reason for this is because over 9000 students scored above 200 in the exam, with so many getting incredibly high scores of above 300.  I even heard a female student scored 380, while another student scored 394 .

Unfortunately for you folks, OAU will only admit about 3000 UME students or less, since they will equally admit a lot of students from their pre-degree program as well.  So for those that scored below 200, I advise you opt for remedial programmes or you start preparing for next year's UME (forms are on sale already).  And if you believe in miracles, fast and pray!

The cut Off point will be determined by the departmental officer, precisely HOD on the bases of the average genral performance by the prospectus candidate for the course involved, though the mark is not yet our and it is true some candidate scored 394 and rest but most of them are already a student that just need to change thier course to thier desired course and most are form science and technology department. I believe very soon the mark will be out and it will be publicise as i was told.
You can confirm this by calling the computer dept lines on the website of the univerisaty for details, I think they are very much in charge to know details about it. You can get the web address on the eportal of the website.

Got 245 in the oau post ume and applying for accounting,do i have hope.

274 is a nice mark for Medicine, just watch out. i hope you will be admitted.

I'm from Ogun State and was told that the cut off for accounting for Ogun is 252.I want to know how true this is.I'm scared because i got 245.

so much about this "mights", who has a concrete thing to say, i mean something he is sure of cos this people have got my heart on fire, and i dont want them to keep it burning, when there are people who score 394, isnt 200 too low to get admitted with, who knows the exact cut off, i aint saying i got 200, cos i got 218 and i am feeling it is too low to get admitted for political science, its so confusing, please an exact information would be pleasing to read, cos i heard the cutoff is 250,

According to a reliable source, OAU is actually reverting to the JAMB scores to determine the cut-off marks for each department.  For Medicine, only those that scored 271 and above in JAMB and also scored above 200 in their post UME will be chosen.  In other words, even if you scored 350 in your post UME but didn't score up to 271 in your JAMB, you won't be given Medicine.  However, the cut-off mark for catchment areas for Medicine is 265.  (-- so I heard).
