All Nigerian universities; federal, state or private are required to use JAMB for admitting students. This is a National Universities Commission (NUC) mandate.

yea, but they usually don't.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University of India charges US$1000 a year for International distance students to do a PhD. UNISA (South Africa) charges US$1300.

A new university in California run by a religious group (Order of the Queen of Sheba) is starting up a distance progam in January for B.Business Management and I understand  fees will be very low indeed and even less for members  of the O rder. Text materials on three CDs for the first two and half to three years  are sixty five British pounds/ 16000 Naira(20 units of about 400 pages each of the British Association of Business Executives www.abeuk.org ) with DVD lectures a little more and tutoring fees (including marking) on top of that. Enquiries to shebauni@usa.com  Since ABE qualifications are accepted by a large number of universities for entry into the BBA final year and even for entry to  MBA there is no problem with accreditation.

Its kind of difficult to actually get what d cheapest or least private university would be. most of these institutions don't have sites & if they did tution isn't normally posted dere.

for those seeking wch is d best university, that is's kind of difficult too, wats d criteria to determine these things, is it academics, facilities & equipments,  why not wait for d NUC, for 1 thing UNIBEN was mentions as 1 of d top 3 in d Common Wealth Nations.

for all those who seem to have so much of a problem with madonna university, how much about this sch & d other private universities that have affiliations to a religious organization do u know. do u really knw what its like the way it is not just hearsay,  for d record i'm a 5th year elect/elect student in madonna

who says hese private universities are not known, give em a break, these days graduates of these universities are usually given prference to others.
