I do not know why did Thoniaslim insult you so badly. However this remind of my male best friend I lost 2 years ago, accused me for no reason he claimed me stealing his platonic female best friend. That made no sense to me because he was the one to introduce his platonic female best friend to me in person 2 years ago. As of resulted i respected his wish i no longer hang around his platonic female best friend since 2 years. Let him go!!!
Two years later as of last weekend this year, my male best friend emailed me with his great apologized asking me for forgiveness in order to restore our friendship. I accepted and reassured me that I did NOTHING WRONG in our friendship.
Friendship is very complexity among opposite sex no matter how close friend are. Friends always come and go!!!
