Why Is?

Just wondering why the word g*u*y is changed to boy.
g*u*y is just a more an informal way of saying boy and in my oppinion in some sentences reads better.

Why are people so determined to use the word everywhere? It's tiring. I'm trying to get people to use the words "man", "boy", or "people" where they apply and it's not working at all.

I wouldn't say people are determined to use the word everywhere (at least here they don't) it's just part of normal conversation thats all, no biggie
Just curious as to why it changed.

GUYS is such a commonly used word. It comes to use unconsciously, it's not a matter of determination.
