My Sister Has A Discharge From Her Privates

Hi everyone,please i urgently need help.i have a younger sister who is 18 and she's my only sister.she complained to me about a problem she has and am soo lost on what to tell her, okay,the problem is,she noticed that the discharge from her privates has an offensive odour.she saw a doctor in her school who ran some tests and told her to use gynacodaktarin although no specific disease was detected.she did as the doctor said and even changed all her undies as well as improve on her hygiene but it persisted, so she came to me and i don't know what to tell her and i don't want to ask my friends, please sisters in the house i'll appreciate your advice.


please this is a serious matter as it concerns a distressed young girl who happens to be my sister so please i beg u in the name of whatever you hold sacred,don't turn it into a joke, useful comments are all i need.

Has she gone back to the doctor to complain that the drug is not working?  if not, please tell her to.
If the doctor is clueless, then he should refer her to a better doctor or she should take the initiative to do so herself

i think she should get tested properly,it may jus be due to public toilet or stufs like that,please get to see a beta doc,There sure ll be an easy solution.It happened to a girlfriend of mine before and she jus took some prescribed drug

Like someone already asked, how does the discharge smell? This is because girls have a natural discharge that keeps the vagina clean but that kind doesnt smell fishy or bad. Seek the opinion of other doctors.

for first aid, let her pill a seed of garlic eactime she goes to bed at night and insert it into her every night for atleast two or three nites , it will automatically disappear. then look for proper medicall attention.My friends, girl friend ones had a similar situation Unfortunately here in Nigeria where i base,  few labs can really conduct such a test and give u a cogent result, else most of them will tell u nothing specific.  Just call this number if u are within nigeria, such cases have been handled several times successfully 08023379145 (Olayinka) and tlk to the Dr.

actually the garlic thing is a home remedy which apparently is very very powerful. but when peeling the garlic make sure u don't pierce the inner skin, if not it will burn, and don't just throw it up there for goodness sake, wrap it in some gauze and tie a string on it then slowly adn gently insert it into the vagina.  it is best to do this when symtoms of yeast infection first show, before the fungus has gotten a chance to really grow in there.  But i doubt wha tur sis has is a yeast infection.

Vaginal discharge could be of various types depending on the causative agents, nevertheless, whatsoever may be the cause the first and foremost is to find out through skilful medical diagnosis. The causative agent (which could either be Fungal "e.g. Candida, a yeast", Bacterial "e.g. Gardenerella" or Parasitic "e.g. Trichomonas"). But you can be sure that which ever of these is the cause once the appropriate drug is administered you will get rid of it.
Most of these genital - linked infectious diseases are either contracted through sex or toilet, sometimes due to the nature of the female genitalia it makes them to be more susceptible to infections, once you as a mature girl begins to have sexual intercourse the acidic level of your vaginal will start to increase and this condition favours those sexually transmitted disease causative agents. Moreover, when you as a woman/lady/girl use toilet it is advisable to clean from front to back, it is very wrong to clean from back to front because if you do that you stand the risk of infecting yourself with some potential pathogenic organisms that may be present in your faeces 'I mean some coliform bacteria' from the intestinal tract.

Avoid constant vaginal douching, when you do that it will irritate the vulva or the cervical region. Always make sure you allow the urine to completely drain from your vulva each time you visit the toilet to urinate, because urine could serve as a very rich growth medium for those possibly infectious organisms. Keep your undies clean at all times, once in a while you can soak it with hot water and add a little volume of JIK just for an hour or two, wash and spread it in a clean and safe place. Try to disinfect your toilet from time to time using disinfectants such as Dettol, Izal e.t.c, also take enough fruits and vegetables these will improve your immune system and as well enhance its performance to fight diseases in your body.
And above all avoid indiscriminate sex or make constant use of condom to avoid all these troubles.
