Thanks,you hit a bull's eye there.Matter of fact am on EVDO,but cos I travel round the country most times ,I'll get a GPRS enabled internet access just in case,but I sure wont go for anything costlier than EVDO

, sincerely fellow nairalanders, this thing i e the MTN shakpod is a hoax!!!!!just a rip off, i stand to be corrected  though, esp for people outside Lagos, i hope they get their acts right for the sake of the unsuspecting future subscribers, in fact the thing makes the consumer protection council[CRP] an idle by stander!!

Dial up is far better than that shit!! And for those of u dat believe u're actually getting 921kbps u're in for a real shocker!! U'll be lucky if you get up to 80kbps!!! I just subscribed to the service last week and the highest speed i evaa got is 72kbps. Most times its between 20 and 35 kbps

Hey guys

I use starcomms and I think its not too bad. They have their issues once in a while but so far, it serves me very well.
I watch videos on it online and listen to radio stations on it.  I thinks it not bad really.

As regards bandwidth, you can visit this site for a free test of your internet connection speed:
http://us.mcafee.com/root/speedometer/default.asp

Starcomms advertise 230kb/s but the maximum I have seen so far on the test is 150kb/s.
