<editor: this thread was originally titled The MTN 'Friendship is Beautiful' TV Advert>The former thread " The MTN 'Sunshine' TV Advert ('oh, Jerry!') " generated so many reactions on the forum. So for all you MTN advert lovers, they've got a new one titled " Friendship is Beautiful", where a boy befriends a girl by purposely forgetting his phone with her after a wooing-session. <editor: snip>MTN dey try, but Glo rocks!

The official name for that advert is actually ' Sharp Guy' (it's part of their "life is beautiful" promo, though, so trae is partially right). The video is available as a free download for those who have not had the privilege (or pain) of watching the ad. What I don't understand is the girl's sudden change of attitude when the guy offered to "come pick it up". Here is a girl who has rejected the guy several times, and she suddenly shows her teeth and says, " you're a phony!" after he offers to come pick up his phone. "nah, I'm just motivated", he replies. That was a little too fast!

Another MTN advert that will surely interest the teenagers or schoolboys and schoolgirls. I saw nothing really imaginative in it. In real life, it doesn't work that way. Girls just don't change their attitude towards a guy just because he left his cellphone behind.

In adition to what diakim said, guys don't just leave their phone behind just so that a they can befriend a girl. Except he's one queer guy or stinkingly rich. Times are hard, who wants to lose his handset because of a woman?
Minus the fact that the wooing was fake (it's not true to actual happenings in Nigeria), it's an all round excellent advert. I give it 9 stars out of 10.

I want to really say that the advert is kool and fun. You know, I enjoy watching it over and over again! But let's come to a simple truth and that is for a guy forgetting his phone or purposely leaving his phone behind because of getting a chic that could only happen and that guy gets his phone back if the girl is decent, but if not you just gave the girl 10,000 for free because (WAfi Chics) she going to sell and pretend.
But you know I am motivated myself by that advert. Kudos to MTN but they are not customer friendly. They should be [customer-friendly] instead of giving us sophisticated adverts.
