Great salaries abound in any industry, what you need is to climb up the ladder fast. The pay you get now may not make much sense in the near future because your needs are constantly rising. But it is very important to have a long term approach to your career insuring your future in the process.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know the salaries for engineers at Etisalat, Zain and MTN at the Specialist and Manager level?

Specialist salaries in those 3 companies usually start at around 2.5-3m. It mostly depends on how you enter, and what you were earning before you joined. Specialist level is 2 in MTN, 5 in Zain, and is not numbered in etisalat, as they have something like analyst or officer before specialist.

MTN Managers,  I'd say about 6m. The package has a status car, and medical is excluded (they have group medical).
Zain entry for managers used to be 8.7m with no car, but since they did a review last year, I'm not sure what the entry for managers now is. Can't be more than 9m sha.
Etisalat doesn't have salary bands yet, I'm told. They also maintain the same six-tier structure which MTN and Zain follow, but do not have rigid salary bands yet. Salaries for manager are a little below Zain, but above MTN. Also fully monetized, i.e. no status car. They do have an HMO arrangement with a company called expatcare. Their medical isn't unlimited, it has a cap, but it is fully subsidized by the company.

Hope this helps sha.
