Had A Bump On My Head On Hitting A Shelf, Help!

Hi house, have got a bump on my head upon hitting my head against a shelf, it refuses going down, its becoming too noticeable, want to know what doctors can do to get it down, anyone who's done it before can share with me, was it painful, know it may require cutting and stitching, think mine has become an accumulation of fat or is it tissue, need your opinion please before i opt for the surgery
