i don't seem to understand sometimes why ladies just make up. some ladies end up looking like masqurades while others just look okay but is it necessary? A guy asked me recently that why do ladies go thru unnecessary pains to look good? Im throwing the questions to da ladies in the house so i can get enuf answers for him o!!!!

Most females use make up to look beautiful
or to inhance their beauty. some take it overboard and end up looking like clowns. i would like to say this to all the black females out there that wear make up of any sort: stay away from bright eye shadow, black people aren't allowed to wear blue eye shadows or green eyeshadows. it doesn;t fit everyone.

green/blue eye shadows actually fit some black people very well, it depends on how and the shade you wear

To look dressy and out of necessity, I think powder (brown or white is necessary to keep your face from looking oily, lip gloss to protect your lips from getting chapped – those are the necessities. Then if u want to look dressy, maybe for an occasion, u can apply an eye shadow the shade of your top or something, or a lil lipstick, it distinguishes u from your every day look and gives a dressy feel

ok, am meeting someone for the first time, it's actually a blind date but i've spoken with him on the phone. i decided to just look natural when i meet him, powder and lip gloss is fine with me, is that a good idea?

If women are houses I think they should be painted, but if they are not then they don't need it

Girl you couldn’t have said it any better, the worst ones are those one that use color lip liners, some even go to the extents of use black eye pencil for the lips and haven’t females realize that too muck make doesn't fit everyone, have u seen those black girls that wear green top then use green eye shadow, is it compulsory to use make-up.

Yes oh, you need to visit those black colleges; they pancake their faces like clowns especally those Naija babes in Atlanta.
The white girls are still moderate with theirs; at least they look like dolls and still cute with it

i use make up smtimes just to look my age when i am going out. i look younger than my age without it, but it all ends up cleaning off before i even get to my destination. i cnt really tolerate it. if i sweat, i have to make sure i dnt wipe my eye shadow off, lick my lips and then the whole lipstick is off

i don't see anything wrong in using makeup, it only enhances your features. but some girls tend to over do it, they don't even know the right shades to use, and the outcome is they turn out looking like clowns.

IMHO, i think ppl who use makeup in order to look " beautiful" are the ones who overdo it and look like aunty Maggi with it Cuz they try to jambpack everything on her face and use hideous colors while those who use it to Enhance their beauty know the skills and the limits of the makeup. and they already know where the makeup is rightly needed on the face and know how not to overdo it

the term alone MAKE up, simply says it all, You are making up for wat you dont ve. Some come out good some come out horrible but i think practise makes perfect. If only we know wat works for us , for one I dont and i ve tried several times to work on it, the funny thing is that anytime i have a party or date and i apply make up it comes out horrible but wen i just want to do a trial facial at home , OMG its comes out gorgeous. from my experience i would say that its the pressure we put on ourselves so that we look and standout and eventually the hideous make up stands out, lol
