The guy in Waco TX is not Mormon my dear, but You right they used to practice polygamy but it's not legal now in the state of Utah, although some outcast of the church in southern Utah and the four Conner regions still practice polygamy. And the guy that kidnapped the Smart girl was not a members of the LDS church my dear where are you getting your info from ?

There maybe members of the church in Indiana, but the don't have a Temple in Indiana, the closest Temple is in Chicago.

That's right you have to be Baptized and get a Temple recommend from the Bishop of your ward and a Temple garment to be able to enter the Temple. Dude I wish you could come to Temple square in SLC, it's breath taking.

You're right about Waco, I just realized that when he went to bed, he made a cult religion based on people worshiping him. Sorry about that. As for the Amy Smart thing, it was on CNN. Have you ever seen "Big Love", it's loosely based on Mormons. Anyway they used to have "compounds" filled with wives. I'm sure it's not like that now but I bet some still pratice it. I assume you've read the book of Mormons. Either way I really don't care for Mormonism. I don't like their doctrine. lol amazing how completely OFF topic this thread has gotten. |

One more comment then I'll stop going off topic I promise. @Thiefofhearts Sorry dear I've not seen the movie Big Love, I'm too sleepy and lazy to watch movies these days  . You right the Mormons used to have compounds filed with wives and kids, but those are old practices although some out casts of the church still practice all that mess today. I thought I've said that before, sorry for repeating myself I'm born Catholic and will never abandon the catholic Church although I've been to the LDC church before when I lived in Salt Lake City, and I just don't understand why some folks talk all kinds of bad stuff about the LDS Church. If you get to know members of the church, the very nice folks and can help you in any way the can. I've even meet so many Nigerian Missionaries the church sponsor form Nigeria. |
