for once, i'll agree with you. the guy is handsome and talented.
Utaka plays as a striker for his club but is always pinned to the wing when playing for nigeria. Even at Korea/Japan, Onigbinde used him as a striker but Chukwu and his successor have never tried him there. his ability to play any role is responsible for this and if we don't move him back to his preferred role, we'll keep searching for strikers.
I'D have preffered a striking partnership of Utaka and Martins at the Nations cup, Utaka to do all the playing and Martins to do the tapping in.

Thats true.
Thats the problem with versatile players.They are so good that they confuses the Coach. In Chelsea, Galas and Ghodjosen fall into that category.
Ronaldinho once call Ghodjesen as the most underrated Striker in the World.

he's a good striker no doubt but will he be able to keep it up. its the consistency that matters not flash in the pan goals. I hope he leaves rennnes to maybe rsenal of lyon. there he skills will improve.
