What if he's able to study the Swedish language while he's still in Nigeria?  (I believe I've about people who studied Japanese and eventually got themselves admission into Japanese universities.)

@Ehiwere, "free tution fee institution" come on, where on earth is edu free?  You'd become international student the minute you leave your country.  The fees for international student if high.  Here in London, it is as high as £12000 per annum (Two semesters) for 3/4 years 12k x 3 = 36k for BSc, BA, BEng.
The UK law do not allow international students to work more than 16hrs a week.  Besides, if you work too hard your studies will suffer.  Do google search

Studing in Sweden is Free of charge and you can study for BSc that undergradute Level(Basic Level in Sweden) all u need is to meet their requirements but note you will have to take care for your Feeding,Accomodation and other this , they will only pay your tution fee both for Undergraduates and Masters Degree,
