@mycc
As Christian is not right to flirt
God wants us to put off our old sinful ways of life, put on a new life in Christ.

2cor5:17 "Anyone who is joined with Christ is a new creature" So get rid of the life of flirting is not for the child of God, but of the world.

no it's not easy, but it's what we've been commanded to do - so therefore it's not an option. It will never be easy living the christian life, but by God's grace, it can be done.

TRULY TEMPTATIONS ARE REAL BUT DON'T FORGET AS A CHRISTIAN
WHAT PAUL SAID ABOUT FORNICATION/ADULTERY THAT IT SHOULD
NOT EVEN BE MENTIONED AMONG US. PLS STUDY YOUR BIBLE, ASK GOD
TO STRENGHTEN YOU . REMEMBER THAT BIBLE SAYS THAT "THERE IS A WAY
WHICH SEEMETH RIGHT UNTO MAN BUT THE END THEREOF IS DESTRUCTION"
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE LET GOD HELP YOU. RESIST THE DEVIL &
HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.

depends on what you classify as "flirting". I don't think its wrong to enjoy female company so long as its on a platonic level.
If your idea of "flirting" involves sexual petting, na there wahala dey.

My suggestion ---> when you get married, hand over your wife to your friends for them to sample--- once in a while.

If what you mean is to lust after the opposite sex, then it's sinful,in todays' English we say flirt but God calls it lust.
Lust is a sin.
To lust is a situation when a man sees a woman and all he is thinking about is getting her naked in bed.
The bible says in that situation,he's already committed a sexual sin.

Since your question is about Christians,it's only right to answer biblically speaking.
Jesus says

Matthew 5:28 (NKJV) "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

then again in the epistles we read:

Romans 6:12 (NKJV) Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

Colossians 3:5 (NKJV) Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

which of course means that 90+ % of christian men are adulterers . Grin

unless 'lookery'  is subject to methaphorical interpretation. Cheesy

does this also imply that women are not capable of 'looking at men with lust for them'? Cheesy

There's a difference between admiring a beautiful woman and day dreaming about being in bed with her.
well that's what I think but I'm speaking from a womans point of view maybe you men always have the bed in mind when you see a beautiful lady.
In that case God help y'all Grin
You have to repent per minute since beautiful women are everywhere.
I feel sorry for you all.
But God is able to keep you from falling when you desire to live holy.

Poster it depends on what you are flirting for, this is my view from www/

A lot of my Christian Readers have emailed me to ask,
steroid. What should I do if I am Christian? I am not sure if
flirting is appropriate for me because of my religious
background."

Here's what a Christian reader of mine has suggested
to me in the past. (Not exact quote, I am paraphrasing him, )

"See flirting as a way of giving attention to people.
Think of it as a way to share your warmth. See it as a way to
make other people feel good about themselves, not as a way
to get anything in return."

I agree with this reader. He has got it down TOTALLY.
Flirting is a way of GIVING, not a way of "taking" as most
people wrongly assume. Don't flirt to get into a woman's pants.
Flirt with her to MAKE HER FEEL GOOD about herself. Give her
pleasure by flirting with her and teasing her.

There is NOTHING selfish or immoral about making other
people feel good.

God help you!
What will you do if Christ comes while you're ontop of the man or the other way around.
You need to have your mind renewed.

bad boy!
It is natural for a man to admire a beautiful woman Cool but if in your heart, you envision her without clothes, the Bible says it's lust and lust is sin.
Lust comes in when the man begins to dwell on those thoughts.

more like a very thin line. . .

how can 'admiration' of physical beauty be sepearate from lust? even if the lust is not acted on?

a man pauses to give a knockout girl the onceover -  thats not lust?

na you talk am - 'looks at a woman to lust for her' - not 'thinks about a woman to lust for her'

@ christian men - you'd better be plucking out your eyes - in these times they will be offending you like its going out of business Grin

Yes it's a thin line I guess for men going by the number of unfaithful spouses especially husbands.
That's why the Bible says we should keep away from all appearances of evil.
Meaning that we should carefully avoid those situations that can bring on those bad thoughts.

Oyb,I'm sure that's why you have your wives in flowing abayas but believe me a lustful man can still see through those coverings.
I'm sure women have been raped in hijabs.
Now tell me,how does it prevent you from seeing other women and even posters.
Lust is a thing of the heart and it's sin.
The Spirit of God can help a Christian man with those urges if he's committed.

Lets call a spade a spade. it is absolutely sinful, its not christlike. Jesus christ whom u are now representing as a chritian on earth would have had better things to do if He was here. so be a good ambassador an GO AND SIN NO MORE,
