Hi N'landers, I need help with reseting a computer's password. I bought it used and in trying to reset the password, I removed the CMOS battery and replaced it, that didnt work. I then removed the jumper maybe that'll work too but it did not. After then I tried laoding my hard disk but noticed that the boot sequence has changed. I can't install and I can't change the setup. Please how can I remove the password???

pheesayor,
Removing the computer's CMOS battery resets the BIOS settings, I assume that the system in question is a desktop. Make sure the battery is out for lets say 3-5 minutes. Then replace it and your BIOS settings would have been reset.
Cheers.

Just boot the system on safe mode
After that:
click start click cONTROL PANEL click user accounts
click on the administrator account
From there, you can see delete password for this user.
