Are blacks truly less intelligent than whites?
Are black employees less efficient and less productive than white employees ?
Will African countries ever become economically independent, considering the fact that we have all the resources to make it happen ?
Why are we suffering from the spirit of the crab ? Could it be that ever since we have been given independence, blacks people have not become independent on their own ?
Although there is no scientist of repute who can confidently stand before a scientific community and say that one particular race of people has higher intelligence than the other race; there is just no evidence to support that claim and James Watson knows that and that perhaps would have informed his apology.
The question Africans and African leader need to ask themselves is why is there so much prejudice particularly in the West against Africans and "Black" people?
What happened to the continent that is supposed to be the cradle of civilization, where according to established science and archaeology life actually started and from where human beings as we know them today dispersed to the different continents of the world?
Recent research suggest that the reason why some people skin colour changed to "white" is as a result of independent genetic mutation in at least three loci of the gene encoding skin colour. This has been demonstrated in some animals. While it is true that there is no evidence to say one race is more intelligent than the others we can not however pretend that there are no problems in Africa.
What is the prospect of Africa?
What is the outlook for the future in Africa?
What is the probability of advancement and success?
How can the prospect of Africa be bright when our leaders go cap in hand begging for handouts in form of loan from Western Nations only to turn around and steal the money for personal use and then send it back to Western Nations banks for keep while ghettos continue to flourish and proliferate from Lagos in the West to Darfur in the East?.
How will Sub-Saharan Africa produce Nobel Prize winners in Medicine or Science when African leaders have failed to provide enabling environment for research and adequate funding for health and education compared to Military hard ware?
How can malnourished, underfed and HIV infected children in Chad Republic, Malawi or in Uganda ever grow up to contribute their quota to the development of Africa?
A Nigerian Professor of Forest Economics (Labode Popoola)recently in an interview with a Nigerian Newspaper announce that in nineteen years (19yrs) the only grant he ever received from the Nigerian Government for research was N20,000 which was not enough for logistics compared to over N10 Million Naira he had received from multinational organizations. WHY  ?
The Chadian President Idriss Deby was once quoted as saying there is no malnutrition in Chad when it was obvious to a "blind" man that malnutrition and infant mortality rate is sky high in Chad and the various NGO's are struggling to feed these kids to the best of their capacity. WHY???
The same President goes about in a Mercedes Benz and multi-coloured flowing gowns, living in a government furnished house and eating free food provided at the expense of the tax payers of Chad Republic.
Malnutrition is so bad in Africa, despite the fact that we are blessed with a very good climate that favours agriculture why??.
A smart white woman from the USA had to organise unused frozen breast milk from American mothers who have done breastfeeding for transportation to South Africans HIV orphaned babies. The frozen breast milk was gladly received in South Africa because it is better than cow's milk for growing babies.
HIV is mushrooming in Gambia because Gambia young President, Yahya Jammeh has turned himself into a "spiritual" healer which is not bad in itself except for the fact that he is giving false hope to HIV infected Gambian citizens advising them to stop using the anti-retroviral drugs prescribed by doctors in preference for his own concoction. why ?
He has refused emissary from the WHO to subject his claims and medicine to scientific test. He is playing on the emotion of his people and using religion and sentiment to perpetuate his grip on power. why ??
Repeated drought, famine and malnutrition are reported in Ethiopia and Eritrea while both countries engage in arm conflict using money and resources that should have been used to purchase nutritious food for mothers and babies to buy guns from Western nations. WHY O WHY MUST IT BE IN THIS WAY ??
Africa continues to seek solutions from Western Governments, the IMF and the World Bank. The fact is that these Western nations and the institutions they have established are primarily working for the interest of Europeans and their descendants. All the talks about helping the economy of developing countries are simply lip sync. A developed African economy and Nations will weaken the dominance of these Western powers. What has happened and continues to happen is exemplified by the experience of Jamaican Government. The government of Jamaica was given a loan sometimes by the International Monetary Fund and the United States Government for the development of their dairy farming and production of milk. Conditions attached to this loan were that the government of Jamaica must not subsidise the efforts of Jamaican farmers and they must allow importation of milk and milk products from Western Nations to compete with the local Jamaican markets. Subsequently the Jamaican markets were flooded with cheap powdered milk from abroad, while the milk produced by Jamaican dairy farmers was too expensive for the poor people to purchase. Eventually the local dairy farmers could not compete with the cheap imports and gallons of cow's milk were wasted leading to the collapse of the Jamaican dairy industry. The Western nations are looking after their farmers, subsidizing all their efforts making it easier for them to compete globally while at the same time telling developing nations not to subsidize or help manufacturers and farmers in their countries. Why are we not looking after our own farmers ?
Those countries like Jamaica who want to develop their economy by pressuring the developed nations to open up their markets so that they can sell agricultural product like banana and plantain, are often told their products are unhygienic and could be harmful to the economy of the recipient country. They are advised to hire agricultural experts and lobbyist from Western Nations as consultants. The developing countries have to pay in foreign currency to hire these "experts", mostly from the money they borrow from the World Bank or IMF. At the end of the day, the African farmers do not have the money to advertise their banana or plantain on the television in Western countries as we see banana such as Chiquita banana on TV. There is no way to make profit because competition is too stiff and so the project dies.
Countries such as Ghana, Malawi and Nigeria who have agricultural raw materials to sell such as Cocoa and Coffee beans are often railroaded into selling at very cheap submarket prices by powerful multinational companies such as Cadbury. Other African countries including Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Angola, Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo and others who are blessed with natural resources such as petroleum products, natural gas, diamond, uranium, which in most cases are non renewable are neck deep in corruption and civil war. These God giving natural resources are sold at peanut prices to Western Nations and corporation and the proceed is used to buy machine guns, ammunitions to kill fellow Africans and the remaining amount goes into private bank account overseas.
African leaders need to stop and think about all the stolen money they are storing away in Switzerland, St Jersey, Monaco, United Kingdom and the United States of America. These money don't just sit in the bank, it is used to run businesses, investment and real estates that benefit Europeans and not Africans. It is rumoured that the number of billionaires in Nigeria alone and the amount of money they have in foreign banks is enough to pay off all the debt owed to creditors by all the West African nations.
What is worse is that this money may be frozen in the future by Western government under the pretence of money laundering or terrorism act.
If only African leaders can use all these money to develop their respective country infrastructures. Cuba, a tiny South American nation under years of sanction from the United State government is more developed and advanced technologically than any West African States. Many Cuban doctors and scientists are sent overseas by Fidel Castro to help poorer economies, grapple with the burden of disease and hunger. It seems African leaders enjoy keeping their fellow citizens as beggars and waiter who look up to them for regular tips. These leaders travel overseas regularly and see the efficiency of the infrastructure in these countries, yet they are not moved to do something of similar magnitude in Africa.
I think James Watson expects African leaders to know that they can not continue to survive on handouts and hand shakes from Western governments. Most African countries are indebted to Western Nations; and the world economy as well as monetary policies is controlled mostly by Western nations. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe and Kim Jong 11 of North Korea know too well what it means to confront the world economic powers. Both countries are now in economic ruins with inflation at an unprecedented high and commodities rationing is the order of the day.
Solution to Africa's myriad problems lies with African's and not with the West. African leaders and those who aspire to leadership in Africa will have to show that their intelligence is the same as those of their Western counterparts in the way they formulate and manage Africa's social and economic policies.
The toga of ethnicity, tribalism and corruption worn by most African leaders need to be shed so they can concentrate on providing viable alternative social policies to counter the enslaving economic and social policies of the West. African leaders need to come up with better ways of trading so they can maximize their gains. They need to be wary of been railroaded into the World Trade Organization by the European Union; leaving their home market vulnerable to stiff competition from heavily subsidized Western products that will further plummet Africa's economy leaving them with no other option than to go back to the IMF and World Bank for additional loan
Africa is awash with abundant natural and human resources that we need not be beggars. The future indeed looks very bright for Africa depending of course on the type of leadership in the different countries that make up the continent. Less endowed regions of the world such as the Pacific and South America have the respect of the world, not so much for what they have but for their managers who have been able to use relatively less resources to achieve greatness and transform their countries and continent into wonder lands. We often talk and read about the transformation of Singapore from a poor country to a technological giant all in the space of twenty years. Singapore became a republic in 1965 after Nigeria and through the effort of her first Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew's; Singapore was transformed from a developing nation into a first world status. Lee kuan Yew's administration curbed unemployment, religious unrest, raised standard of living and provided large scale public housing programme. China and India are also enjoying rapid economic growth and development driving largely by the leadership and atmosphere created by their respective governments. Why can't Nigeria or other African countries do the same as in these countries?
Why do Nigeria and African countries rely on IMF, World banks and other western donors, considering the fact that all these institutions were set up by the west to protect their interest both in their countries and abroad ?
Why do we blacks hate each other so much and despise each other, but we respect and honour whites. In western countries, there is so much prejudice about blacks and Africans, some don't even see you as a human being. Western nations (white people )put their own citizens first, but Africans (blacks) don't have any regard for our own citizens ?
If Dr. Watson is wrong, why is it that Nigerians would loot their treasury, transfer the loot overseas, be discriminated upon when it is time to withdraw funds from their account, and complaint that their nation is under developed? I have never seen whites (westerner) loot his or her countries treasury and transfer it to African countries. Why have we refuse to learn ?
Why does a nation with homeless citizen provide housing for Senators and other politicians who loot the treasury and provide fleet of cars instead of politicians providing their own accommodation and transportation from their salary?
Why is it that once a President, new Governor, a new members of the house or Senate is elected, their friends move shop to Nigeria to serve as errand boys to cause capital flight?
Why is it that instead of developing Nigeria for Nigerians, leaders prefer developing other nations?
Why is it that every Nigerian leader will rather give projects to foreigners rather than develop Nigerian capacities for blacks and for Africa?
Why is it that black minds are not multi-functional in nature so as to cause both black and whites to be successful at the same time without one disturbing the other?
Why are blacks consumers rather than producers after all, in Africa resides most of world's natural resources and cheap labors?
Why is it that we destroy all the infrastructures that white left behind knowing that with our mindset, we are incapable of rebuilding, at least until we have a paradigm shift in our thinking?
Why is it that when most black Americans (most football, basket ball players, track and field champions, rappers are successful, they cannot trust their own but give their businesses to white folks only to sleep under the bridge at the end of their professional days?
Why is it that all of Africa is under developed except the capital cities?
Why is it that there are no monuments that Nigerians can point to, even our little carvings are sold to the highest foreign bidder for next to nothing?
Why would a leader refuse to build a dispensary in his State but builds state of the art hospital in South Africa? Isn't this a sign of inferior thinking?
We do not work collaboratively with ourselves; we assassinate ourselves for every little thing, and do everything to bring each other down.

Its no lie to say that the black man is less intelligent than the white man any body that says other wise should go ahead and provide answers to the questions the poster asked. it took me just 2 months of living with white people to know that they are more intellingent,better organised and better co-ordinated than we are. its shows in everything they do no matter how poor or uneducated they are they always seem to find a way of solving their problems which we lack totally. Our level of disorganisation is beyond belief, all i know is that Man pass Man and if we are trully as intelligent as they are then why do we have to rely on them for everything? why can't we improvise and create ours if we are truly as intelligent?
Intelligence is not all about your ability to read and pass exams which some of us have be claiming to do better than the whites and are using as the premise of concluding that we are equally intelligent. Intelligence is more about the way you conduct yourself and deal with the challanges you face, its more about ingenuity(the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful), we have shown over the years that we are'nt intelligent because we are yet to deal with that fact. we are so unintelligent that we can't even feed,cloth,house or educate ourselves (take a look at africa) . There are a lot of geniuses amongst the black race but when you look at the bunch collectively at par with the whites you will see that they are definately more intelligent than we are.
I live in a country that has no natural resource all they have is their human resource but they have been able to manage it effectively to the extent that they have transcended above most of the obstacles that served as a constraint to their collective progress, can we say the same of ourselves? most of the african countries are lying on enormous natural resources but are still unable to manage it and use it for their own good. That action alone goes to show us that we are less intelligent than them. Dr wastson is right people are just trying to be politically correct about his statement but deep inside us we know its true, does that oppose him should go ahead and tell us with substantiated evidence why they feel we are equally as intelligent as the white people.

Go pick a dictionary and look for the meaning of intelligence then come back to this thread as it is obvious you do not even understand the meaning. A statement referring to someone's lack of understanding of an issue has now been twisted by a confused moron to mean that passing of exams is being compared to intelligence.
Even confused back souls like these cannot make Dr Watson right because they are in the minority.
The saying that education does not equal knowledge is real and in this man I am more convinced.

It seems a little ironic, that white people deem themselves genetically superior with the oxymoron of white supremacy. There is nothing supreme about a genetic defect. White people are merely mutated inbred albinos. This alone adds credence to them being an inferior stock. The doll test, where it has been reported that both white kids and black kids prefer WHITE dolls is solely out of ignorance, that I have termed “centuries of BRAINWASHARY.” It has clearly been shown that white skin is actually indicative of albinism. Albinism is a genetic defect. Who in their right mind would prefer a genetically defective condition to one that is Nature’s normal and has been proven more efficient? This is why we need to continue our crusade to decolonize the minds of the original genetic template (black people) to see through the nonsense propagated by white people to flatter themselves. Total ignorance can be fought with knowledge. Is Watson Right??? Yet to be seen since what Watson said was that he believes that the reason why development has not really been seen in black nations is due to genetic reasons.
