Clip In Hair Extensions Yay Or Nay

how y'all doing, please girls and madam what do you know about clip in hair extensions, i want to try them but i'm sceptical about them because i'm not sure how durable it is, what if it snaps open maybe when you are intimate with someone or have your friends touch them i don't know any advice would help, i know people that use it but they are not black so i'm guessing they already have long hair they've just clip'd few strands to the back for volume so has anyone here used it before? what do you think? I am tired of normal weave on because it turns lifeless after one wash and i also tried synthetic artificial weave it also turns into barbed wire so i'm thinking of trying clip so that i can take it off maybe weekly and do it properly.
