flower ko leaf ni. flowers are a poor man's excuse not to spend money. if u want to show your girl that u would love her for enternity why buy a flower that would wither away  rather buy something that would last and costs money like gold necklace, diamond or an expensive phone. that way the girl would know that u love her and want to spend money on her. ( remember most of us Nigeria chicks LOV money- it rules the world.) Once i was watching this movie where this guy came to apologise 2 his girl. he was hidding something behind his back, and i was expecting some gift of somekind. and the idiot brought out a rose!!! not a bunch of roses but just 1 single rose!! if i was that girl i would have collected it and chased him out of the house with it. nonsence! |

Guys all i can say is this different strokes for different folks.
Not everyone grew up watching sesame street or 321 contact, hence, not everyone thinks flowers are romantic. but that is for a few.
It depends on which local govt you come from, if your lady likes flowers, get 'em for her, if she wants recharge card, get it for her.

Advice to guys: If a woman rejects your expensive (nb NOT CHEAP. EXPENSIVE) flowers, then say sorry and later on treat her as a ho charging per round- price accordingly. for each grand she gets, u must use x condoms determined by her 'grade' and 'classification'. chikena!
To women:
If you take money from a man what differentiates you from a prostitute.
However women need to be shown that they are loved and appreciated, and so they need gifts for emotional reasons.
An expensive flower is a way of saying 'I love you enough to spend money on you, but I wont insult you by giving you money/gold like a cheap whore'
The flower cost just as much (or more) than the shiny phone you would have preferred- so you can't say the man is just a poor man giving excuses.
He is showing you that he considers you a class above the cheap slut/mistress of the street.
However as can be seen from the replies to the 'no finance no romance' thread, most naija women have degenerated to the level of cheap hoes anyway.
