no, i think the conclusion is that they don't. if you find a genuine girl that they do work for, do yourself a favour and marry her

@ Jan: You're right there. @ Guys: Just do what works best for you and your partners. If your girlfriends don't like flowers, no grounds to crucify them! It's about what they want, not about you. And if she does like flowers, please get the right ones! Some people are allergic to certain pollen from certain flowers. If you give her a bout of hayfever, or she breaks out into a rash, big time romance killer!

Eya sorry oh because the good products would be sold out by the time you get there or you don't find your size , but that waiting on that long line in the cold is what i don't really like but it's all worth it at the end of the day

sad to learn that most nigerian women don't appreciate the thoughts behind the flowers. rather send them a silly text, it would work so cheap but very effective.

strangely how things go here !! you're talkin about the girls who don't want or appreciate the flowers their guys r willing to get them while i used to date a man who thought flowers were a waste of money and i was the one buying them for him . . . he preffered to bring me the (silly) things !!!
two way road!!

Giving a girl flowers is a nice way of letting know your feelings towards her, u know, depending on the colours and all that. Very traditional. But in these fast and modern days, things have to be a little more 'spicy' (cell phones, stake outs, jewelry). Though I still believe in the good old way. At least, its the thot that counts.

Nigerian ladies don't appreciate them because they think the presentation of flowers is delivered with 98% ill motives of trying to get between you know what. believe it or not 2days Nigerian ladies hardly trust their dates.
i guess exchange of flowers by married couples who really trust each other might works wonders.

This flower depends on the recipient.Personally,I love flowers(roses, lilies, orchids etc).I grew up in a family that loves flowers. If a guy sends me flowers,I'll appreciate it. On the other hand, the flowers better be live(real).I went on a date with this guy and he gave me a single rose,a fake single rose .I felt so disappointed, kai, why did he even bother? That clouded my opinion of him immediately. We dey obodo oyibo so how expensive can a flower be?I would have been more impressed sef if he stopped and plucked one from a flower garden.Pcheeeeeeeeeeew!!!

Instead of sleeping in the forest looking for flowery shrubs, Obeche or Mahogany flowers
why not send them recharge cards, atleast, they will FLASH you to acknowledge reciept.

I like the way people use the 'ko' and 'ni' words ;. It just cracks me up big time and it seems like a Nigerian slang. To the dude that said that guys rarely date girls that they buy gucci slippers for on their first date, thats not true. Before I started dating my boyfriend he bought me a very expensive gift and we're still together. I believe some ladies have experienced the same too. If a guy can afford gifts I don't see why giving them to a lady will prevent him from dating her. Personally, I love receiving flowers. My boyfriend sends them to me a lot of times and I leave them in a jar on my window sill or on my table. I think its a lovely gesture but sending me flowers a lot of times doesnt prevent him from showering me with gifts and affection which I also reciprocate .

Am a Naija girl n i lov flowers. I think its all about the L.O.V.E thing. If u truly lov a guy n he givs u flowers then u'll appreciate it, n even when it starts dieing off, u would still stare starry eyes at it n wudn't want to throw away same wit other simple or silly gifts. . .Now that's what the L.O.V.E thingy does to some of us. .but emm. . . if it a Man u don't really lik/lov . . lik them guys u jus want to chop his $$$ n go or those you're jus not interested in. . . . wel then u would most def throw his flowers in da bin especilly if it's not good enough to decorate the loo ! .Who wants such flowers when Ego can do the talking

bottom line, even d oyibo people don't do anything with d flowers. I got frendz that keep gettin these flower gifts n they jus die n they thrown away, but they r appreciated. Idea of a flower gift is to send a message, period! But owin 2 our society, d level of poverty don scatter d mentality from beginnin. Its mo like, if u want to love me, take me out 2 dinner in place of givin flowers, at least i aint gotta eat tonight (generally speaking this is)! **mother of the story, why spend so much money 2 send a message I wudda understood in mo effective ways!*** that leaves us no choice but 2 go wit d flow that would let us get on jus well wit our sexy naija mamas ! no flowers fellaz!
