Some people are that way. Don't descend to their level by arguing with them.

Chinani -

Ive watched roots- its depressing , embarassing and anoying - a pictoral glimpse of dehumanisation of the 16 th AND 17TH CENTURY TRADE IN HUMAN CARGO

Reading the book "ROOTS"  IS THE ULTIMATE

Alex haley told a story of love , of evil of exploitation , and the strenght of the human spirit. Its a book  i feel every blk person should read - it really helps  you understand what slavery was like .Its a very educative book. It moved me to tears many times.

I haven't watched the film, but books convey certain things in ways movies cannot replicate. I read the book in 2001 and Roots was touching, especially when you read how Alex Haley did his research  -- lying on his back in on of those slave galleys and imagining whatt Kunta Kinte must have felt so many years ago. . .

How he eventually met his Madinka people and after listening to the Griot's story, the warm welcome he was given. I don't want to give away the plot, but Chinani, that's one book you've got to have on your bookshelf.

Nubian, I'm sure the talk about 'fotos' might have appealed to you. . . hey it's just a joke!
