Do The Words "i Love You" Still Mean A Thing To You?
« on: March 29, 2006, 02:29 AM »

Just wanted to find out from you boys and girls, if you get a kick out of being told those words from your partner or a friend. Personally, i think those word's 've been abused, but once again, thats what "I" think.

"I LOVE YOU",  it's losing it's meaning. I actually don't espect more from people that tell me they love me. I don't take it as a special "vavava-voom". If you Love me as in intimate. Show me,  You can tell me, but show me.

I love you is a thingi say to just about anybody,  and when i say it, i know it just means i love you as in,  aww you're soo adorable.

My point basically is: I LOve You, has no big meaning to me,  not that it don't,  but i don't take it as Arghhh,  how do i say this? Okay i mean, i prefer when someone shows that they love me, rather than when they say it. Cos saying has no meaning anymore,  just show me if you do. ya dig?

lol,  show me you love me than just saying it. Saying it isn't the only way you can show me you love me. I have this little thing in my head that it doesn't really mean alot if you say "i love you". Show that you do.

i wish i can explain better.

Begining to get u. "i love u'' to me could pass for "your money or your life" for whatever the words may mean. fact remains that d gullible nature of 'SOME' girls is unbelievable. tell them u love them, ,THE END.

He's trying to say that once you tell some girls "I love you", self-control flies out of the window and they are willing to do anything with you.  Once you say "I love you", no more toasting is required!

I've overheard some girls complain that "I love you" only comes from the man in bed after the act -- as if they can't say it otherwise.

Very true but how do one know it's coming from a sincere mind? Personally, I still believe the act of actually showing the meaning of those words as well as saying it

In the first place, I don't believe in love so how can you tell me you love me and it will hold a meaning?

@Dojo: because I want these words to mean something, but I've heard them said so many times from people who weren't feeling what they were saying. How do you know who to trust? or who to believe? Undecided Cry Angry

i love you can mean different things at the same time
it cld be i want you in bed or i love your money or your body, it all depends on who is saying it and who they are sayin it to
i love you. why do you love me? what do u understand by that L-word? these are things we girls shld consider before believing it. guys can do anything to get wht they want including saying i love you because it gets us just fine but girls are different just lie guys are so my ladies when a guy says that u may want him to explain himself.

"I love you" means a whole lot to me. I don't use  it anyhow and I don't expect people to say it unnecessarily to me.

I do not believe it when guys say I love you on first meetings (even if it's true) because actions speak louder than words. Show me love over time, let it grow and then when you say it, it'll be a verbal confirmation of what I know.

I'd rather not say "I love you" than say it and not mean it.
