@wurdz

You need to write a minimum of 7 and maximum of 8 papers depending on the area of specialization you are going into;

- MCSE 2003 (general) requires you pass 7exams comprised of 6core and 1 elective exams

- MCSE 2003 security specialization requires you write 8 exams comprised of 5core exams and 3security specialization exams

- MCSE 2003 Messaging specialization requires you write and pass 8exams comprised of 6core and 3messaging exams.

Last time I checked, each paper costs N18K here in naija.

I will never waste my time to write any exams.

If you write exams now, maybe in two or three years, new systems are in place, companies switching to new platforms. your 2007 certifications MAY BE outdated no one knows.

IT is extremely volatile. anything can happen anytime

Good luck to those who take certifications and who are already certified

@wurdz

sorry for the silence. I've uploaded some study materials(same I used while preparing myself) on this forum, but the online file service have deleted the files.

I'll upload it once more for you when I get home later.

Check my post out here

Hello Fellow IT professional , I have taken time to outline some basic exams from my own analysis and arrangement that you could follow to get certified in

MCSA - Microsoft Certified System Administrator
MCDBA -Microsoft Certified Database Administrator in SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition
MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer.

The reason that prompted to this is that I was discussing today with a friend and he has written over 10 exams without being certified in either of the 3 listed category.I was sad that he probably didn't get good counsel or just didn't do research on things before wasting hard earned cash.

For this reason I did a rough layout and hope this helps people who will be doing this certification in future ,  with just 8 Exams you are Certified in all category

I need a break down on Cisco As I will be Embarking on Oracle and Cisco ones I am through with MCSE
