THIS IS MY THREAD AND I RUN THIS THREAD.THIS IS HOW IT WILL WORK ---
1. FIRSTLY ANY INTERESTED RAPPER WILL DROP HIS OR HER NAME AND SIGNIFY INTENTIONS TO ENTER FOR THE WORLD CUP AND BATTLE , ONLINE PRESENCE ALWAYS
2. THIS THREAD WILL BE ORGANISED PROFESSIONALLY AND ALL THE BATTLES WILL BE STRICTLY PROFESSIONAL ,
3. ANYONE WHO CAN RAP CAN ENTER FOR THE 2007 NAIRALAND RAP WORLD CUP .IT WILL BE RUN JUST LIKE THE WORLD CUP.
4. RAPPERS WILL VOLUNTARILY ENTER FOR THE WORLD CUP AND A DRAW WILL BE CARRIED OUT WHEN THE LIST REACHES 32 OR MORE .
5. THERE WILL BE ROUND ROBBING OR KNOCKOUT ROUNDS DEPENDING ON THE LIST. A LIST OF RAPPERS WILL BE PICKED TO BATTLE AGAINST EACH OTHER .
6. ELIMINATION AFTER THE GROUP ROUNDS WILL BE BY KNOCKOUTS , AND THE WINNER PROCEED TO BE NAMED THE GRAND CHAMPION OF THE 2007 NAIRALAND RAP BATTLE WORLD CUP.
7. I AM YOUR HOST AND AM HOSTING THE WORLD CUP SO I AM ALREADY SEEDED.
8. RAPPERS WILL BE GIVEN A TIME LIMIT TO BATTLE SO CONSTANT POSTING ON THE THREAD IS VERY IMPORTANT.ANY RAPPER WHO DOESNT RESPOND WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT WILL BE ELIMINATED .
9. I WILL LIST THE NAMES OF RAPPERS AND PARTICIPANTS THAT HAVE ENTERED FOR THE WORLD CUP AND STOP WHEN IT REACHES 32 OR 64.
9. JUDGEMENTS AND RESULTS WILL BE DECIDED BY VOTES COLLECTIVELY BY ALL LEGAL PARTICIPANTS
10. I WILL POST NOTICES,BATTLES ,FIXTURES ,AND RESULTS OCCASIONALLY AS AT WHEN REQUIRED.

please elaborate, is that going to be carried out by votes? if so, how many votes will determine the winner of a battle?
who is allowed to vote? only contestants in the tournament or is everyone allowed? if everyone is allowed, does the person have to be a member of nairaland for a certain period, have a minimum amount of posts on nairaland (reason i ask is because, i could just create 3 new profiles and keep voting for myself in each battle)
i think u should specify clearly the rules governing that, plus, don't u think 32 contestants are too many for a tourney with only 1 thread? just my 2 cents
please advise, nice idea tho

wow. this is great ! entries are very impressive , more people are coming in now .but don't forget y'all u need to keep visiting ad posting to keep this updated. no dull moments please! @young digi all legal contestants/observers/commentators get to vote for one person in a battle.i.e the verse they think is the best or better one . simple judgement by popularity and general consensus. opinion on the judgement system is still welcome , this is democrcay men, one love young digi @everyone hurry up and enter , the limit is 32 or 64 depending on the size of interested participants @ehie07 u don't have to be a rapper , if you are not good u will simply get eliminated .just like saudi arabia vs germany 8-0. remember  eventually the strong ones will remain in the knockout stages .ie quarterfinal .semi ,and finals . no holds barred! |

i think EDOSIO said she was just going to be reading yo lets pop this shit off, why are folks all scared to jump in and stuff? bolaji don't u think 32 - 64 contestants are a little to extreme for a first tourney of this kind? might be ridiculously hectic managing that many battles in one thread? if u don't mind my suggestion, i'll say like 16 or 24 contestants to begin with, then after people see the success of ur intelligent idea, I'm sure u will get numerous entries for the next tourney, then u can even start doing Rap World Cup qualification match ,  |
