Who Is Your All-time 'most Admired Person'
« on: November 14, 2007, 03:17 PM »

As a kid growing up, I had several role models. One was Michael Jackson. Every kid wanted to be Michael Jackson in the '80s. Over the years though, my list have shifted from Bill Gates to Larry Ellison, from Ted Turner, Richard Branson to Michael Dell, then from Nelson Mandela to the Dalai Lama.

But as a young adult, the personalities who have made a lasting impression on me are the duo of Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi. I have a spiritual attachment to both personalities.

Let me hear yours; who is/are your most admired personality? Huh

As a growing child I thought the world of Bill Cosby. Then, I fell in love with Wole Soyinka and Sidney Sheldon but today, Opra Winfrey is my role model. I love where she's coming from, where she is and where she's going to.

I love her strength, her personality even after all she passed through as a kid.

Jacob! I love his scheming as he moved from a selfish young man to a man that won God admiration! His life never stop giving me a new lesson. Then Joseph, with his faith and endurance as he moved from prison to palace.

Helen Keller, a Blind and Deaf lady whose wisdom and life had touched lot of people,

My adopted sister, though unknown now, for bringing out the hidden traits in me. In few years time, the nation would soon be seeing a brilliant Medical Doctor from St Kitt whose impact would be felt by thousands,  I won't mention your name.

And then, my mother for spending her wealth to give hope to countless of people without demanding praise.

And on a negative front, Adolf Hitler for his ability to bring his prison dream to reality against odds. Thank God, the world did not end. And Sani Abacha, for nearly bringing Nigeria to destruction.

On the last two gentlemen,
I don't like their works but they showed the power of daydreaming!
