Faze And Convict Music.
« on: November 16, 2007, 01:47 PM »

Friends and the media had congratulated him when they heard. Some of his colleagues must have been envious of his achievement; the streets have been waiting patiently to hear the said collaborations with T-Pain and Akon but recently there’s a new development. Months back Chibuzor Orji also known as Faze said he had been signed on to Akon’s Konvict Music and that he was preparing to move over to the United States to continue his music career. Away from the rumour and hear-say, HipHopWorld caught up with Akon at the just concluded Europe Music Awards held in Germany. He discarded the Faze/Konvict story saying “I didn’t sign up any deal with Faze, we didn’t discuss any deal” he said he was presently discussing with 2Face for a deal but they had not come to conclusion. “When 2Face and I come to agreement, you guys will be the first to know but for Faze, we never had a deal, thank you” No doubt, the ex Plantashun boy has led a very fast growing solo career. He kicked off with his highly sentimental single – ‘Faze Alone’ which critiques said he used to earn pity and favour from fans. The single bore his debut album titled after the same single in 2003. In 2006, he released his sophomore album ‘independent’ which features singles like ‘Kolomental’, ‘Tattoo girls’ and ‘Kpodipkokpo’. Now, why did he have to lie about a deal with Konvict Music? Dreaming big? Well, we’ll bring you further reports on this when we catch up with him.

Crackmann could be on crack when posting this. Faze never lied about any of these, he was even discreet about it despite the fact it is partially true. Convict music showed its interest in signing him back then when westside music brought Akon to Nigeria. Then convict music was unpopular and I don't blame Akon denying this after all the hassles he had with America when they said he hated the country he lives in and showing too much interest in Africa. Faze never told any TV show or magazines he had a deal, it is the normal naija rumours that brought this to light so please stop the humiliation. Crackmann's view sounded biased and it is obvious he likes Idibia over Faze and to say the truth Faze is more in the spotlight right now until Idibia release another effort. please stop the comparison and also the discrimination. crackmann when you get off the crack remove the bitter words and state only facts. Faze never said any of these and Akon founded convict music, he openly declared he liked Faze because of his voice back then but now so much have changed. Akon is larger now and like he said, his pocket is bigger now.
