I think it worth it, Aptech is good and its recognise throughout the world, what if you find something cheeper but not of that quality. If you have the money, just go for it. About the oppourtunities, men, am telling you categorically that the future is bright for this thing, so far you are very good in it. Like myself i'm making plan to do some animation stuff, sostick to it i think it worth it.

Does this center actually teach their students the real hands on computer animation or just theory? BTW, do they have a website? I will like to take a look at their course outline.

Trust Aptech, each student with a computer, the practical is her way of life. The website address is http://www.aptech-worldwide.com

Don't they have Aptech Nigeria site? The link you provided is their global site and has nothing on computer animation.

Why not check on NIIT Education and Training Center, there's should be cheaper, i wanted to run one at Abuja but busy somehow. They just launched a package - "Maximedia". Which entails Film Animation and Digital Printing, and the likes, you can blend it with 'Swith Animatics' for a better results. Make an enquiry at the Ikeja Center. Best regards! But tell them to send my marketing commission the moment you get that - Laughs!

Thank God i saw this Post on time, Aptech sucks, i was a student @ their Victoria Island Branch and i had to leave because i found out that i was only wasting too much money and gaining nothing in return.
They teach in the class and tell you to go to the lab to practise on your own instead of coming to put you through in the lab, it became so worse for not just me bt my classmates also when we started Programming with C, we never understood anything and we were always telling them to come to the Lab to put us through but nobody was coming.
No one told me before i left Aptech, the place sucks entirely and i was paying a lot of money studying their so called BTECH HND, the Indian teachers are also nothing to write home about, you hardly hear what they are saying and they hardly understand our own English as well.
You'll be better of at NIIT, i went there for enquiries and i found out they mean business in NIIT, i also got to speak to some of their Students who recommended that i start with NIIT and guess what, most of them ran from Aptech to NIIT.

NIIT is not any better, they give skeletal lectures and miss a number of classes >:(under the guise of using the same classroom as Examination halls .They all have a number of dejected lecturers in their services who are not ready to help we helpless student :'(after paying so much. The duration of their courses are not specific due to lapses from them, but one good thing about them is the 1 student -1 computer thing even though you might not have the needed application/software installed Mode of payment is fairly okay. Presently in their Ikeja Branch doing the Maximedia Course,so i know what i'm saying

Aptech sucks for real.
I spent almost 200,000N at Aptech and gained nothing. I had to learn in private.

I don't think u should be looking for a school with a low price, u should be looking for a school acclaimed in animation if animation is what u really want. In my personal oppinion, there is no good animation school in Nigeria. so I wouldn't advice u to spend your money on trash. studying on your own will help you more than any school in Nigeria when it comes to computer animation. If u can go abroad to study animation and u've got the money, that would be the best thing for u. though animation schools abroad are quite expensive. You could even do it online which I plan to do later this yr, I'm still saving up for it. I've asked many Nigerians who are interested in cg animation if they know about this online school and they said no, most Nigerians do not research enough when they really want something. click here and be marveld www.animationmentor.com I could give u a lot more info on cg animation if u like, just send an email, blackgoldng@yahoo.com even though learning cg animation is hard I believe withing the next 4 yr cg animation will set it's mark on Nigerian entertainment and those who persevere in this trade will never live to regret it.

Please, try not to be decieved,Aptech should be the last option to be considered, believe me i know what i am saying. I am presently a student in aptech and i really am regreting my steps.I am going to be 5yrs in aptech just running a 3yr course and still not done.I am only trying to get my certificate and get out of there. - They collect big money and don't deliver - They lack facaulties and the ones they have are not it atall All i know now, i didnt learn from Aptech, but for personal research and my job. I would advice u go online and search for various computer education centres in Nigeria make your enquires and make proper research on the one u 'l choose. I wish you the best.
