The Visa lottery is real. You can complete the free application yourself on-line, no need to pay anyone. It's pretty straightforward forward, just follow the instructions.

Below is the official website.

Its is very real, my elder brother and his family won it about 7 years ago they are American citizens now. Also my friend who we both live together won this year and she just moved over there with her husband and two kids two about 2 months ago. There is no secret just luck althoug my friend who won it her brother in America actually applied for it for her and her husband.

It's very real. I know a lot of people who migrated through the DV lottery. However, it doesn't worth it if you have a good job in Nigeria e.g. making about $30,000 and you are over 40 years old. For guys who are unemployed, it's worth trying.

I know someone who won  two years ago but was turned down saying they were short of visa. Someone else won four years ago, after doing all the tests and necessary things that need to be done, they had to test her. She said she was a tailor and then was told to sew a man's shirt. She said she only specialises on women's dress and for that she was disqualified. It's all about luck

The US VISA LOTTERY has been around for a long time. Asking whether it's real could simply sound like a joke. In any case, it's very much real my good nairalander. You can apply through the website www.dvlottery.state.gov or you contact photodigit. photodigit@whitecoalmedia.comThey do it on Allen avenue, Ikeja, Lagos. You can email them your  biodata and of course, your well composed photograph. Now listen, the photo is the main thing and thats why people charge money. More than 90% of Nigerians who participate in dv lottery do not have adequate knowledge of the right photo size. It's of no use wasting one more year in this difficult land because of N500 or 1K. If you don't know very well how to obtain the right passport size, go meet those whose job it is to take you there. It does not cost much! don't gamble.

guys,
i would want you to ve it at the back of your mind that US doesnt just give visa to anybody i.e even if u applied for the visa lottery, they will screened skilled persons frm unskilled persons and some other criterias before even granting you the visa.
they just don't want a liability thats why they will make sure they give it to somebody who is productive and who will positively affect their economy, not just tailors, bus drivers, bankers etc.

hmmmmm, clearly you're unskilled in the use of english language (bankers are skilled in customer service, tailoring is a skill etc). my friend's mom was screened based on her tailoring experience and they gave her a sewing machine to prove herself in the embassy and she got the visa for her, her kids and husband. also i have heard of  mechanics that made it here and needless to tell u that mechanics made tons of money here, especially the one i know, and it is his mechanic experience that got him his visa. more over if u have read the forms, skills was not defined as "formal education" but evidence of some work that can be reasonable verified.

FYI: tailors, drivers, bankers are not liabilities.
