Hi, I have strong passion for charity work and i don't even know if this place is the right place to talk about this issue. I checked and could not see forum for charity and thats why I'm here. Pardom me if am saying a right thing in a wrong forum. So i have made up my mind to start charity January 2008. please i need suggestions from people to enable me have a smooth start. It is going to be a NON-PROFIT venture. I'm not asking anybody to send me money or material things because i hope to start with my personal resources. All i need is ideas on how to start. Charity, good Idea, at some point you will need peoples help,
and again ur charity is it for children,women, orphans, widows,
you has the MAN with the Idea need to have a clear cut vision for your mission, you could start with the name of the charity, mission of the charity, ect.

1) Register your business name as a non-profit
2) Put together your business documents and make sure you are ready for basic business needs
3) Write up your business plan and contact organizations out there who may be interested in helping out
4) Solicit Volunteers to help you achieve your goal

Also pray that God will inculcate in your the Spirit of Giving and Selfless Service. Try also to get a clear understanding of why you have this strong passion.
You must also develop your capacity in Social work. This will go a long way to help you do the right thing at the right time.
