I've been doing some research on something called "extraordinary renditions" for my American Public Policy class. In short, "Extraordinary Renditioning" is a CIA endorsed program that enables CIA agents to render terrorist suspects to a country where torture is an acceptable interrogation tactic. It's sort of like outsourcing torture. As of right now, it's not illegal but the "Torture Outsourcing Prevention Act", which is yet to be passed as a law, would make it illegal. It's a very interesting topic but the sad part is that I have to write a PAPER on it!
