Colours of Patriotism

Green is fresh,
the cool leaf green.
moreso when it is cultured
within, and not polluted with greed
Millions starve in my country,
of a pure patriotic meal.

White is coveted
for her titanic gains.
Even world powers crave
her worth and fame.
So duties are effortlessly
discharged, exemplifying the
passion of a patriot,
a love for harmony.

Little-wonder green and white,
grace many a nation's flag.
Yet some grope in the dark
confused over the metaphor
encrypted in their national colours.
In ignorance they undermined,
man's right to justice and equity.
