Yeah i think we have already qualified because Sierra Leone and guinea are the underdogs and south Africa has nothing to loose,We can always bribe them , so we will top the group &qualify to the world cup, Then they will be second and still qualify for the nations cup, Omo na God oooh say the y no put us for the same group with Cameroun, egypt etc

Hey.Anyone here familiar with the format?
In the format, can two teams from the same Preliminary group meet again in the final stage of qualifying?
Where I am getting at, is can Nigeria be grouped with South Africa in the final stage of qualifying.
Does anyone have all the details to the format.
There is nothing on the net.
It only talks about the stages, groups, teams etc,

Yeah I'm just as lost as dblock, i know there is another phase of qualification after this group stage but what deo sit entail land why are South Africa in the groups stages if they are hosting the tournament? Does their inclusion in our group mean anything? in terms of the number of teams that will go through in our group

I have some feelings that South Africa won't qualify for the African Nations Cup 2010

Soth Africa are playing in order to qualify for the Africa Nations Cup in 2010, the first in each group and 8 best runners-Up will qualify for the second phase of qualification. Another draw will be made to put thte 20 qualified teams into 5 groups, the winnwr of each group will qualify for FIFA World Cup 2010. The best 3 in each Group will qualify CAN 2010

Nobody has answered my question, I am aware of the reason why South Africa is the draw.
My question is, with the ANC format, is it possible for two teams that met in the preliminary stage of World Cup qualification to meet again in the last round.??

Well If Nigeria was to meet South Africa in the last round, even if South Africa won the Group, Nigeria would make it through to the World Cup if they finished second.
