When I said the fanatics were the most dangerous people on the planet, I wasn't referring to beheading and decapitation, rather I was pointing out that the mind is incapable of comprehending the magnitude of malevolence and idiocy exihibited by the ArchedBarism and Beheadism cabal. The moment you try to force your mind to understand these 'prehistoric' vagabonds, you will end up up with numerous ailments, including but not limited to cardiac arrest, brain tumor, typhoid fever, hepatitis and acute bronchitis.

Very true. Personally I've tried to understand the reason behind their actions but I just can't get it. Even putting religion aside, as in thinking from an aetheist point of view, it still does not make any sense to me. I mean, don't they have consciensce? How do they find it so easy killing their fellow human beign all in the name of religion?

I wept when I heard about the murder of that teacher by Gombe students Cry. These are SS1 students for crying out loud!! What does the future hold for Nigeria with these little terrorists who we hope will be the leaders of tomorrow? Cry

WITH LOVE AND PEACE FROM SUDAN,

Quote
They accompanied her as she left Khartoum airport, heavy with security

Sudan's influential Council of Muslim Scholars had urged the government on Sunday not to pardon Gibbons, saying it would damage Khartoum's reputation among Muslims around the world.Retracting this light sentence ,  would wound the sensibilities of the Muslims in Sudan," Council Spokesman al-Sheikh Mohammad Abdel Karim said.

About 50 demonstrators shouting "There is no God but Allah" and "We will die for the Prophet Mohammad" handed over a petition to the embassy about the affair.

PEACE LOVERS INDEED. .

The problem with some of the posts on this thread is that they are blinded with overwhelming emotions moving straight to abusing Islam. Again people have sent offending pictures saying this and that is Muhammed (one of pig) i think this is to the extreme and irresponsible, it is more like daring. Much as i do not care if anyone abuses Islam, i will not kill myself to try and satisfy them by saying Islam is bad because it is not bad, no matter how much evil tagging people on this trend have applied.

What i do not understand is despite the fact that no Muslim on this thread said the killings in the name of religion is right, people continue to overdo themselves in abusing Muslims. This is more of Race/ethnic  way of thinking, nobody has ever heard of a Muslim from the Southern part of the country involved in such things or Muslims from UK or America or some other countries. Let me say that in Sudan they have been involved in war for a long time, and that is a premise to begin to see to their violence, the same can be said of Agfhanistan who have both gone into war with Russia then America. For Pakistan, the believe is they have been cheated by Isreal and the western powers of their land, so the response. All of this have more political undertone than religion, but religion is used to gain followership:the opium of the people. These things i have tried to explain by comparing it to the niger delta issues, if screaming of Alaluyah were employed by them during kidnapping or killings, are other christians suppose to be hanged or take bashings from Muslims. They can only Condemned the actions.

Nwando and the rest who attain orgasm when they are abusing Muslims, or posting offending pictures, i suggest u see a shrink. Thanks for calling me half sense, like i said before, one needs to be well trained at home to respect others view/situation. I am not doing this to make any one happy, like some people who want, i am just puting record straight.  Islam whether you agree or not is a Religion of peace.

Stop taking online shits too serious my nizzle. See this as a passage in time, see this as a tough time for Mohammad (S.W.A) and his followers but he's has always overcome, see this as a jihad towards Europe and Muslim always win because Europe is very secular now and there is no communism to stop religion from taking over, remember Muslim as an entity out numbered the Christians by a large margin try and be happy. Look at the funny side of online shits don't commit them to heart

Another nonsensical post from halfsense.
When did Isreal cheat PAKISTAN of its land?  Shocked Soon Chad will blame its own violence on Isreal.

If you meant Palestine you are still wrong! Isreal fought for survival against up to 6 arab nations, capturing Gaza FROM EGYPT and the West Bank/Judea-Samaria from JORDAN in 1967! Neither of these lands were captured from "Palestinians" so why the deceit?
Besides these very lands were captured from Isreal during the Independence war of 1948 so just who is decieving who here?

Again the dishonest penchant for blaming every form of muslim violence on everyone else but the muslims . . . so war is the reason for the response in Sudan? But wait  . . . . isnt that war in Darfur and NOT Khartoum? What of the response in Kano? Is it the result of the civil war because we may have to wonder why Igbos are not responding in such fashion too.
Hypocrites.

Wrong @Haffees. This was not only in sudan, I mean the call for her death. Here is the situation, she is british and that to me is the reason why the muslims in the UK, seeing the reaction decided to intervene. Just as there are many around the world who cried Foul, there were equally many in countries around the world who called for her to be punished. Infact, a muslim in the southern part of Nigeria called the BBC last week and outright said she needed to pay for her crime against mohammed. Many from around the world also called in to say the same but more called to say that it was not right. This is no more an isolated case here. This is a widespread issue that we are dealing with. Trying to play it down is not going to help your case here. We need more people who CLAIM to be muslims to stand up and do better or accept that those of us watching are not going to keep silent and let it go easy. Going around telling people ISLAM is a religion of peace. Infact, for persons like me, I am more irritated by the fact that I hear muslims say it is a religion of peace but the reality seems the contrary.

I don't "get" anything. This is simply a rehash of the silly arab propaganda diet you are fed at your madrasses and mosques by your imams hell bent on achieving the dying words of an unholy prophet.
Where were the ARABS before 1948? It is on record that Jerusalem has ALWAYS remained a majority jewish city, today muslims are now crying that it is the 3rd holiest site in islam. 3rd holiest my foot! It is not even mentioned in either the quran or hadith 1ce! Perhaps allah forgot all about it in his haste to conquer mecca and medina.

The jews have ALWAYS been in Isreal, it was not until Jews in diaspora started repatriating money to Isreal to build a state from a desert that your hungry arabs started migrating to the area in search of better opportunities.

And "ethnic reasons" easily solve the puzzles of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sokoto, Sudan, Iran, Iraq? Are they all the same ethnic groups - blacks, arabs, persians? No sir, the truth is that the glue that binds them all together is the very "peaceful" islam!

Assalam alaikum to Muslim Brothers/Sister.

And Peace to the rest of the members.

I would like to advice my young muslim brothers/Sisters in this regard.

How do you feel about being Muslim these days? How does it make you feel when Islam and Muslims are being blamed for everything that is wrong with the world? Do you feel upset? Frustrated? Resigned to accept that this is simply the way things are? Does it take every last ounce of restraint for you to stop yourself from responding with aggression? How do you feel about the reactions of fellow Muslims in your country, or around the world? Do you feel better or worse about the situation?

No Muslim anywhere in the world can escape the 21st-century-style onslaught on Islam and Muslims. But what differentiates these sentiments from those expressed in earlier centuries, all the way back to the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)? The vitriol of times past, against Islam and Muslims, pales in comparison to how hateful, how widespread, how commonplace, and, worst of all, how tolerated these anti-Islamic sentiments have become.

To begin with, we must take note of the speed at which hateful comments about Islam and Muslims spread in cyberspace. The moment a person finishes spewing their venom against Islam and Muslims and hits "send" on their e-mail, or "submit" on a Web forum, or "post" on a blog, everyone else with access to the Internet can view these hateful comments in real time. The so-called news channels, operating 24/7, further exacerbate the situation by presenting hate live. No more waiting for the words of a member of parliament or other elected official to first be delivered, then picked up by the media, and then printed in a local newspaper or broadcast by a local radio or television station. No more waiting. With live broadcasts, numerous self-refreshing news websites, and the latest Web video fad, YouTube, it is impossible to escape the barrage of anti-Islamic sentiments being expressed at any given time, at any given place around the world.

Although Muslims of all ages are affected by the constant stereotyping and sometimes outright bigoted, hateful statements about Islam, there has been insufficient research up until now informing us of the impact of anti-Islamic sentiments on young people. A casual glance at Muslim youth nowadays reveals that there are at least three possible reactions they could have.

First, young people who identify strongly with Islam and have experienced intense levels of frustration, anger, and helplessness might succumb in the face of aggression and, in turn, respond with aggression. Second, young people who do not identify with Islam might engage in self-blame and express agreement with those making these anti-Islamic statements or, at the very least, they might express doubt in the teachings of the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), which are most often the target of these attacks. Finally, young people who identify strongly with Islam might feel outraged but resort to peaceful means and promote dialogue and discussion with these aggressors. Which group are you most likely to identify with? What about your friends?

Aggression With Aggression

Since the tragic events of 9/11, Muslims have condemned the cult of terror behind those attacks, as well as similar attacks on innocent civilians around the world. However, even while condemning extremism and terrorism; Muslims have nevertheless had to endure the so-called US-led War on Terror, which has also included the unnecessary and heavy-handed treatment of moderate Muslims. Bigoted statements have been made by some so-called civilized and modern citizens of the "free" world, who declare that Islam is an evil religion and that Muslim youth are being indoctrinated to hate and to seek to destroy the way of life of people of other faiths.

Regrettably, despite how painful these lies are about Islam, many of the Muslims' reactions in the face of this anti-Islamic hysteria were, ironically, aggressive. Untold numbers of riots, lootings, and incidents of lawlessness were caused by Muslims protesting, and rightfully so, the desecration of the Qur'an at Guantanamo Bay, the depiction of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in Danish cartoons, and the Pope's unfortunate choice of a hate-filled quote about Islam from a Byzantine emperor in a speech he delivered near the end of last year.

Since this anti-Islamic tide does not seem to be fading anytime soon, it is vital young people keep in mind the greater good, the broader point, and the beautiful model of self-restraint that we have in the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Contributing to the loss of innocent lives in the name of protesting anti-Islamic sentiments is in itself behavior antithetical to the teachings of Islam. Young people watching such reactions could become tempted to resort to similar, if not worse, actions in the face of aggression from people of other faiths. There is absolutely no justification within Islamic teachings for such behavior and, therefore, it is important that young people keep each other and their communities in check so that there is never the tendency to respond to aggression with aggression. The easiest reaction is to become angry, lose self-control, and engage in indiscriminate and thoughtless actions. The more sophisticated, complex road less traveled is the one that forces us to exercise self-restraint and bring to life the Islamic teachings that enjoin wisdom and beautiful preaching.

Self-Blame and Doubt

Some Muslim youth, and even some adults, sadly have such a weak relationship with Allah that they are beginning to doubt Islamic teachings simply because people of other faiths cast Islam as a violent religion. Have you found yourself doubting what you know or believe about Islam? It is natural to experience doubt, but then one cannot become content to remain in a doubtful state and must seek out information to help clear that doubt.

Rather than returning to and researching the authentic teachings of Islam, many of these self-blaming individuals resort to the interpretations of Islamic teachings by so-called experts on Islam. It is regrettable that some of our own would express self-blame and even self-hate, and then acquiesce to the patently false and hateful assertions of pundits and politicians who view Islamic teachings as the source of violence, extremism, terrorism, and all other -isms. It is imperative that youth seek out comforting and nurturing environments in which they can let their guard down and ask trustworthy Islamic scholars tough questions about everything including terrorism, suicide bombings, and honor killings.

The resounding answer to this soul searching will be that Islam rejects absolutely the taking of innocent life - period. If such a nurturing environment doesn't already exist around you, then take the initiative to help create it yourself. Get together with other like-minded young people and commit yourselves to seek out clarification about Islam and about the authentic teachings of this beautiful religion, which has over 1.2 billion followers of all races, nationalities and socioeconomic backgrounds. Do not settle for doubt and self-blame; get up and get information so that instead of hating your religion, you learn to love it, not only because it makes sense, but because you are convinced it is a religion that could never promote what its enemies attribute to it.

Dialogue and Discussion

While much media attention has focused upon negative responses by the youth to pervasive anti-Islamic statements, an overwhelming majority of young Muslims all over the world are engaged in dialogue and discussion with those who have misunderstood Islam and could, in time, come to hate Islamic teachings. The best route to follow is to channel these frustrations into positive and constructive activities.

Sadly, what seems to always get lost are the words and actions of those Muslim youth who live their lives according to the teachings of Islam, and what always seems to make the headlines are the words and actions of a handful of misguided youth who choose to follow a very peculiar interpretation of Islamic teachings.

Thankfully though, many young Muslims have been inspired by Muslim scholars all over the world who, time and again, have spoken with moral and theological clarity, rejecting outright the use of indiscriminate violence, and who have opposed terrorism and extremism. Commendable also were the actions of those scholars who appealed to the Muslim world to exercise restraint when the cartoon controversy erupted. What the mainstream media consistently refuses to highlight is the moderate, balanced, and comprehensive responses of Muslim scholars and youth to the tide of anti-Islamic hysteria. Not many people of other faiths know that young Muslims from 15 Western countries came together in the Danish capital Copenhagen on July 7, 2006, to look at ways of fostering positive ties between Islam and the West, and discuss the identity of Muslims in Western societies. Indeed, the overwhelming response among the Muslim youth has been to initiate dialogue and discussion in order to bring about a greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation of Islamic teachings not only among themselves, but especially among young people of other faiths.

Final Thoughts

Being a Muslim amid the current volatile sociopolitical climate can be overwhelming, but it is vital that you don't become passive; rather you need to assert yourself in a positive, dynamic, and constructive way. Ultimately, no amount of hatred directed at Islam and Muslims should set us off our course to remain moderate and promote the Prophetic ideals of tolerance and mercy towards those who know little about Islam. Imagine the powerful moment when the Makkans surrendered to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) after having driven him and his Companions out, after having usurped their property and their wealth, after having fought deadly battles with them, and most importantly, after having thoroughly denounced their religion. Of all the options available to him, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) chose to forgive the Makkans. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recited to them the words of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), who said to his brothers despite their treacherous plans to kill him:

"This day let no reproach be (cast) on you: Allah will forgive you, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!" (Yusuf 12:92)

After reviewing these -Islamic sentiments. Engaging in dialogue and discussion will help us in the long run to understand better our own religion while exchanging valuable ideas with people of other faiths.

Islam is a way of life, try it.
Islam is a gift, accept it.
Islam is a journey, complete it.
Islam is a struggle, fight for it.
Islam is a goal, achieve it.
Islam is an opportunity, take it.
Islam is not for sinners, overcome it.
Islam is not a game, don't play with it.
Islam is not a mystery, behold it.
Islam is not for cowards, face it.
Islam is not for the dead, live it.
Islam is a promise, fulfil it.
Islam is a duty, perform it.
Islam is a treasure (the Prayer), pray it.
Islam is a beautiful way of life, see it.
Islam has a message for you, hear it.
Islam is love, love it

Peace.

@reverend,idupaul,davidlier,
Am sure reverend is one of those who grow up with their brains not growing well in propostion to their physical growth, ur post is childish and to say u took time out to do that show! so cheap. hang ur head in shame, be more inventive next towards positive things.

Idu paul, what excuse do u mean, should muslims who do not agree with the so called violent ones die, somebody mention "forcing muslims" there is nothing bad with that i guess! even you did u profer any solution, just blames. What can be done,? u sef talk we are trying dialogue, preaching etc what else, or we should contribute money and bomb such countries to nothingness.

for david the fool, David the lier, david the nuisance ur profile said it all, u are an animal that needed to be tamed. please don't surface on this site again until u are tamed. i don't know how long you have stayed in the United state, but am certain ur retardation has affected ur understanding of the english language. read my post again and don't waste ur time picking it sentence by sentence and responding, u simply don't comprehend.

They say when people tell the same lies several times over, they even begin to believe the lies and can try to convince others of same.
Muslims tell you how they are growing astronomically  but will not tell you it is due to high birth rate and girls conceiving as young as 9 due to Islamic teachings.
They tell you Westerners are turning to Islam in droves but they won't tell you it's mainly black criminals in jail and women married to Muslim men
They won't also tell you that 75% of these converts desert Islam within a year.
The most annoying is all this, the religion of 1.2 or 1.5 million as though others were in the minority.

Facts.

33% of the world population are identified as Christians and are the largest religious group numbering over 2 billion
Roman Catholics alone number over 1.1 million
Most Christian converts in Muslim countries are not known due to fear of beheadings
667 Muslims in Africa alone convert daily to Christianity

Please stop doing that cause it is beginning to make me see you as some loony who has access to a computer. I am sorry but I feel you need to read your posts and see what you are doing to yourself please. Even though it is just internet, at least some respect of self is needed. One minute you make complete sense, the next I am wondering what in the world is going on over there .
