God will help you with your own consent.God cannot force himself on you to discipline yourself.when i was writing exams sometimes i locked up my phone in my bag, just to avoid distraction.at times it might even be friends that would want you to do sth on your phone for then.me that i even have the trick to the free browsing of the 3 network,if one mess up i will just insert another sim.kay-baba just follow my positive decision.because i could still remember vividly how i scored low mark in one of my courses, just because of celtel free browsing.God will help us all,if we help ourselves too.am thinking of taking a break from posting and replying mails on Nairaland.i got something vital to do.am going to the mountain.see you guys later.

you can't really blame us. The internet is an underdeveloped aspect of our economy. Browsing is not an issue in developed countries, because it is brought to the average man's level.
For example, in uk, google's estate, google made a wireless network there and everyone in the estate browses free. You can't count how may companies offer similar services. But here, everyone wants to make money out of everything.

its all about knowing what u want on the net, i can be on the net for long, but when its time to study, bros, no compromise o, because ma school no send u, them go tell u to download ur study calendar  and u jack and submit assignments according to the calendar, so u're on your own if u no read.
its really bad for me sha, because all ma school books are e-books, so sometimes i might be tempted to minimize my books and then surf. but cultivating a good surfing habit would help all of us. i posted an article once somewhere here to help with forum addiction and all that.
For those that have exams i dey go tell admin to ban all of una until una exam finish  Angry

Internet surfing is a serious addiction. A friend got fired from his 3weeks old job when his boss is always catching him surfing the office internet and when the office internet is down, he switches over to his Free GPRS trick connection. He's always on Nairaland and so on. So this free thing is doing more harm than good, lol, but men, i no fit do without am sha.

I feel what honsule is feeling because I experienced it especially when Celtel was doing free browsing. I browse on my phone anywhere I find my self even when sleeping at night. In fact just any where but I cannot just do that again ever since celtel started charging

its a pity that he did'nt knw that. He now realised that addiction is very bad. He was asked to resumed back next month with serious warning & with limited time in using the office internet. I hope he repents.

Oh this is a very good topic and it is something i hav in mind.Guys this tin is fucking addictive i formerly browse everywhere and am really getting mad of it,  Bt nw i realise browsing free cause problems especially to students and the reason is that there is no good provision of internet to nigerians so when it comes free we use it without looking at the consequences so it totally not our fault bt it works 4me sha around that last week we ad a group assmnt and i search through AOL and got exactly wot we need. So it some how useful bt let there just be some limitation alrite take care guys

For me.addiction is not a bad thing especialy when it yields positive results.hardly can i do anything without this free browsing either with my laptop or mobile, infact i have become an object of discussion in the mist of friends.but to me i am really benefiting a lot from free browsing.the only disadvantage i am facing now is not being able 2 enjoy my meals because i always prefer to surf the web to anything except when am working.nevertheless it depends on how you manage ur time.

Am typing with my left hand only now there's a plate of food on my right

@ topic

There are more advantages than disadvantage to browsing in general, make use of your time wisely, if you set time for anything you do, you will record little disadvantages as for me, my only disadvantage is just that i hardly sleep 8 hours a day that all
