To answer the question, NO WAY. If you're not physically attracted to someone, it would be a big bump in your marriage. Yes, you also want to look at their personality and who they are, but physical attraction is a must. And sex is also an important part of marriage because it's a way for both of you to connect. Having sex with a man with a pot belly, no muscle and little privates would feel like some kind of punishment, abeg, not to mention that it'll quickly destroy your sex drive.

No one wants to admit that they'd be w/ an "unattractive" person b/c he/she thinks it's a reflection of his own attractiveness. Why do you think everyone covets "stars" as a partner? Not b/c they're good people but b/c they want to have their attractiveness & self-worth validated.
I believe in the goodness of people, esp. women. So I think that in person, the answers would be different. B/c in person, the personality would be considered.

Girl, I have to disagree with you. My answer has nothing to do with validating myself or my attractiveness. I may not have boobs that look like mountains, but I don't have a pot belly and I actually work out to stay toned and fit. I try to look presentable, because I know I am attracted to people who look as presentable as I do and even better. Wanting your guy to look attractive doesn't make you a "bad" person, it makes you human. Now if that is the ONLY thing you look for in a partner, then there's something wrong. Otherwise, marrying someone you're not physically attracted will be a big problem in your marriage. One of them being that it will increase your chance of running around with men that you might find attractive after you get married. |
