Not quite, in India the groom is still counted as marrying the bride. Hence the bride's family "loses" both ways, money and lineage. Y' all are lucky you are not in India |

i am not talking about him being financially fit! but paying my bride price? no way is he that he doesn't even have a kobo? Bride price is very cheap in my village sha  they just use the money to symbolise the payment it could be 100 naira or 200 sef like my aunt bride price last year was 100 naira |

if he doesn;t have 100 naira even my small brother in primary four can save 100 in a week from the money given to him to school. if he doesn't let him ask his family, i wont pay my bride price, if i am very very loaded, i could help out start a joint business with my husband, oay my bride price. never!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
