Strange Sounding Food? Look It Up!
« on: November 30, 2007, 07:55 PM »

Ok, i've been eating calamari for ages now, never knew what it actually is and didn't think to find out until tonight (i'm usually more inquisitive). My friend

warned me about it sayin "what you don't know wouldn't hurt you." Did i listen to her? NO!

Well, i googled it, only to find out that calamari is actually SQUID!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I feel sick to the depths of my stomach. Who the hell thinks these things up? SQUID!!!

I'm avoiding strange names from now. SQUID!!!

@ iice - i actually like it but just the thought of those ugly looking things (hollywood aliens indeed) grosses me out, i guess i'll just have to take my mind of its "alive form". (still had sum this morning, lol)

@ omoge 25 - we get it in Nigeria in mixed food form, it's all diced up with other seafood so u can't really tell from it's shape.
i prepare it into some kind of sauce with vegetables like green peppers, spring onions, carrots etc and eat it with basmati rice or irish potatoes.
