Zain: The New Face Of Celtel
« on: November 30, 2007, 08:54 PM »

celtel international is considering a huge re-branding strategy that would see it drop celtel brand and adopt a completely new identity----ZAIN (a wonderful world). the plan is expected to create unique difficulties in nigeria and kenya, where celtel is still quite new.
the re-branding exercise will commence in the first quarter of 2008.
however annalyst belives that the re-branding exercise will cause huge marketing problems for celtel in nigeria. adding more  to the current problems they may be encountering.

hmmmmm,  i think if the re-branding strategic play will give them global advantage they should take it. obviously Nigeria isnt their strong point now, so y should they make decisions based on that. However, permit me to contradict myself by saying, Forbes recently metioned that Nigeria is the fastest growing telecoms industry in the world followed by india or was it singapore, so i think that if celtel , zain, is future minded it will consider NIGERIA!!!!!
