I think this is a bit unfair for African Players,I think Didier Drogba should make the list.there is no traditional striker in the list which is very unusual of the selection.

Am a United fan and want Ronaldo to win but i see him coming second behind kaka by virtue of Kaka's champions league heroics.
Drogba was nominated but couldn't make the last three. He came 4th in the polls.

Simply put; Kaka was better than the 2 of them over the last 12 months!!! Would you have given it to Ronaldo if you see Kaka's performance? Messi's might not win not because of his age(Ronaldo Lima won at a younger age) but because someone much better is in contention. Messi if he keeps his game up he might win it in coming years. Then Ronaldo should reduce all those childish twinkle toes which is at the detriment of the team. he should also stop diving. No diver would ever enter the Kingdom of World footballer of the year. Ask legendary divers like Ortega, Among former winners can you name any serial diver among them? |
