Out of that list, Jayjay will be the last, even lower than "all_of_the_above". Whats going to be the yardstick? Patriotism/Usefulness or taking responsibility ?

Many of you guys seems to choose jay-jay by the entertainment you derived from his game. Kanu is the one for sure.
Talk about about good games, service to country, standard leadership, achievement and awards. how many can jay-jay boost of?

Truth be told, Kanu is really one player it will take a while to replace, and cosidering the fact that he is the most decorated Nigerian player to date, I think Kanu poses a threat to Jay Jay, but I will still pick, my dazzling J.J Okocha.

It used to be Okocha and it is still Okocha because all those other people you are comparing the likes of Okocha and Kanu with played in the past and then football was not as serious as it was when okocha and Kanu joined the team.
Between Okocha and Kanu. It is Okocha.
But taking a look at it again those 2 are playing different positions. Midfielder and a Striker; aside from that they are unic in there own way.
Overall it is Okocha

Its got to be Kanu, fo rall he has won
- premiership - african footballer of the yr, twice (Although jay jay was cheated the yr hadji won it) - CL - Eredivisie - FA Cup
I think the medals speak for themselves, take nothing away from jay jay sha, if it wasn't for medals he'lld be my first choice

In as much as trophies and personal accolades are nice, they don't count much, Tupac never won a grammy. Though Okocha doesn't have so many awards to his name, on the field, with the ball, he is simply the best.

Its not about who has won more trophies or awards. It all boils down to the best footballer to have played the game in Nigeria.Jay-Jay.It has to be. So good he had to be named twice.Probably the best dribbler in modern day football

What is the cateria for receiving an award? If Kanu isn't the best he wouldn't have receive anything, that goes for jay jay too.
what is the benefit of a player who only knows how to dribble, where there are thousand of things to be done?
PAPILO FOREVER

I think this has to be a generational thing, guys! The names up there are so great that only someone that had watched all the players in question can get near to any fair choice. But I have to agree that, no matter how one slices it, Okocha would always be up there! When you talk of Odegbami, Ernest Okonkwo didn`t nick-name him `mathematical` for nothing. To those of you that weren`t around when he was reigning, I would describe him as the Thiery Henry of his time. He was just a personification of excellent football. But my vote would go to Sam Okparaji any time, any day! Fortunately or unfortunately, I was at the stadium the day he died! Most of the guys that are around today are driven by ego, but the same cannot be said about the Oparajis and the Odegbamis; they were very, very patriotic. He must be the first ph.d student footballer to have played for our national team. Yet Oparaji was very humble, reliable in the midfield and truly deadly upfront. For me, Okparaji is it !

Okparaji my foot! Are you trying to call him the best because he died on the field?

Everybody is entitled to his/her opinion.
He must have had his reason(s) for choosing Sam.
have you watch Sam played?
Did you know him at all?

It would be very difficult to name those of Old, but as for me, I'd give it to Rasheed Yekini, having featured and scored in Nigeria's first ever world game.
