Please buddiesneed ur help 0n a little issue. . . I got a P3, 128MB , 20GB , 500MHZ system . . .but I want to believe its not the best . . .so I need advice on what to do or sizes of what to add to the system to make it perform @ maximum for internet stufs, playing games & other stufs without changing it to a p4 . . I'll truly appreciate all ur suggestions

I will advice you to get a new Processor. Your current processor speed is only 500MHz which is very poor. . If u got advice saying you should top up the RAM. forget it. . a 500MHz Processor with 10GB of RAM makes no sense. . .

How much money do you have? get a core 2 duo processor, 2GB RAM, 200GB hdd and if you're a gamer grab the NVIDIA Geforce 8800GT card (costs about $200).
Might cost you a decent sum, but i feel you can swing all this for about 55kand then you'll have a powerful machine that can run all the latest games at high settings.

get a p4 man, or get a gigapro (still low, but better than 500MHz)

@ poster Where are you, Lagos? you have two options, though restricted to one if you don't want to change your mother board. my best advice would have been to change the board. option 2, go to the market and get the highest speed processor that you board can use and then increase the memory. i don't know the type of board you have and the availability of processors in your area so i can't tell you the exact processor to buy.
