Niger State Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has said he is disappointed over the non-challant attitude of elder statesmen from the state including former military presidents, General Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) and General Abdulsalami Abubakar(rtd), to the feud between him and his predecessor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Kure
There has been no love lost between Aliyu and Kure since May this year over the state of the finances of Niger State.
“It is surprising that with elders like General Ibrahim Babangida, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, General Gado Nasko, General Garba Wushishi, and the Emir of Bida in the state, no meaningful effort has been made to resolve the crisis when it is a clear fact that people come from outside the state to seek solutions to their problems. The one in the state still lingers,” Aliyu said.
